I've got a 8kw motor 4 poles and no sensors connected to a vesc 200 amps 30V 8S lipo 

With no charge all seems good and speed is good

but with charge the speed decrease and what I don't anderstand is that amperes are not up to correct the speed as asked ? It stay at maximum 13 Amperes !!

Impossible to find a way to overs 13 amps ?! Even a 100 amps for increase the spedd where cool

I want to install VESC (BLDC ) on my ubuntu bionic because i have a project about driving autonomous car.

I've been using 4.2 before, and it logs WH charged just fine.
This is strange, because after running RT logging and downloading CV, it DOES show regen current just fine, but wh charged fields are empty. Wh used is being logged.
What gives? I'm using the VESC is a pedal generator, and in fact I've bought version 6 exactly because I wanted better accuracy (that is claimed as one of Vesc 6 advantages).

Im using vesc tool, and I am using what i believe is the 4.20 dual flipsky esc (the one joined together) and im using the vesc tool to program it. I am using 2 ppm inputs for the escs, and whenever i try to setup the input, it uses one of the ppm inputs for both motors. I know this works becuz i did it a year ago, but i completely forgot what voodoo i did to make it work. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

hi, i have this error message when i do setup motor foc to detect foc parameters , "Detection failed. Reason: Sensor detection failed", 

i have a ebike dd hub motor, has anyone already have this error message, thanks 

I did it. I  build VESC TOOL for my Android tablet. Faced a problem that VESC TOOL cannot work with serial over android. Over Android is no /dev/ttyXXXX.
I connect FTDI serial via USB OTG.  other APPs are able to find FTDI. And I can work in serial terminal.

Is this planned to be fixed?

Hello all! I am using a 50A VESC to build a project and am having a bit of an issue. I have updated the firmware to 5.1 and have set up balance app and all that fun stuff per the youtube videos provided. My issue lies in the fact I can get the motor set up, to spin, and even invert if I so choose. Once I complete the motor wizard, I go into my balance App page, and the bottom indicators read that the state, switches, and motor position are all unkown. has anyone else ran into this issue and if so how did they go about correcting the issue?

I'd like to read the App Configuration from a VESC, to an Arduino, update one value (PPM, ramp_time_pos), and then send the whole app configuration back to the VESC.

After sending "2 1 17 2 16 3" (message<256 Byte, length=1 Byte, COMM_GET_APPCONF, CRC checksum, End message),

i receive "3 1 112 17 73 122 91 145 31 0 0 3 232 0 ... ..." (message > 255 Byte, length = 1*256+112 = 368 Byte, 17,73,122,91,145 <- ???, 31=controller_id, 0+0+3*256+232 = 1000 timeout_msec, ... ...)

Now my two questions:

Hi friends I have the last version of the vesc tool (2.06) , my vesc is Flipsky 4.20 , I made firmware update and tried to calibrate the motors with success but when I tried calibrate the PPM it enters to calibration but no reading of minimum , maximum and middle range of the PPM . My PPM is also Flipsky VX1 version. I also have Bluetooth by Flipsky to connect to vesc tool from my phone. When I push the PPM full up the motors moving at fast speed imidiatly and when pushing full back it goes slowly.

What am I doing wrong ?
