Extremely slow FW update (Vesc Tool 2.2)

Hi everyone!

I have downloaded the latest Vesc Tool 2.2 and I'm having problems when flashing a new firmware

My Vesc is a dual Flipsky 4.20 which is basically two 4.12 (4.10) VESCs on a single PCB paired via internal CAN

I used the Ackmaniac's vesc tool previously with the FW version 3.103.

I connected the VESC via USB, disabled the can forwarding and tried to update the single side only.

The RT data is disabled.

I get the following errors in the debug console

VESC tool max current

Hello all,

I've been building electric bikes for 4 years now. I recently purchased a 200 amp Maytech VESC and a motor capable of 200 amps continuous. The VESC tool software, however, does not allow over 120 amps for the motor or battery settings. Does anybody know of a way to override this? Thank you for your help!

FOC Encoder autotune issue

I am working on a project, in which I need to control a linear actuator. When I tried to use VESC's FOC mode to do the auto tuning of the encoder offset under the tab 'encoder', I found the actuator keep moving in one direction without reverse in direction. The encoder realtime data plot showed a smooth curve of the encoder reading so I don't think the encoder is out of order. I have tried a rotary motor and got the tuning done. Anyone have similar experience that can share with me?

Freewheeling

Hi

I have a BRH5065-140kV outrunner with a Flipsky 4.12, and I need a very simple setup with my throttle (0,8-2,6V). Linear speed with max torque, and full freewheeling when the throttle is in neutral.

In ADC Duty Cycle, I have linear speed (don't know about the torque, I'm not that far in my testing), but the motor is braking, and the current seems to be 0-0,10A. CH1 and CH2 clearly shows 0,0%, so I don't think it's the mapping. (I do not have CH2, but haven't figured out how to disable it).

VESC tool load empty

I am trying to start the VESC tool but it stays empty.

The first time I started it I got a security warning about a untrusted programs and I selected 'run anyway' and it showed the UI. It did not seem responsive and did not resize. I plugged in the USB cable to the VESC. I got an error message about old firmware and reduced communication and after this it did not respond.

Now every time I start the program it stays empty.

PPM Configuration is Only Working While Connected to VESC Software

Thanks for checking out my post, I previously made an android app to control my old electric skateboard (did not use VESC) and I am trying to get it working on my new build (uses VESC). The app sends bytes to an arduino that creates a 1ms to 2ms PWM signal for input to the VESC. On windows I followed the Input wizard documentation for PPM and it seemed to work well. I wrote the configuration to the VESC and disconnected it from my laptop but then it stopped working. So I plugged in the VESC again to my laptop and without auto connecting it, it would work again.

arrow key hot working (neither on the app) but the board works correclty

Hi i'm having this problem for a lot of time, and now i want to try to find out why. I have set up correctly my board in bldc (twin 4.12 vesc with china hub motor) and with the remote the board works perfectly.

But if i connect the vesc to the vesc tool app on the pc o android app and try to move the motor with the arrow keys (or button in the app) the motor make a bad sound and does not move.

I thought was because of bldc so i tried FOC but with the same result.

Any thought ?

PPM mapping not working

I can't get the PPM mapping to work in the setup for the input wizard. I have on the real time data and the real time data app all activated, with PID speed control on. However, the vesc tool and the thing labeled "your vesc" doesn't fluctuate, meaning I don't have correct values for my remote. I need to know if theres a fix to my problem.
