Forums:

First of all, let me say hello to everybody as this is my first post to this forum although I have been following the VESC project for around 2 years. I have only been using VESC tool for Android along with the new bluetooth 4.0 module. All references I make to VESC tool are for the Android phone version. My hardware consists of 2 original VESC 6.6's from Trampa connected through CAN, and the BLE module.

Motor Values in VESC-Tool 2019

Submitted by frank on Wed, 2019-02-27 09:40

Forums:

Please share your motor values here. It will help to create a list of motor used. Such a list will help to ad motors to VESC-Tool and get accurate setups nailed faster.

We need the

- size eg. 6374,

- KV

- type (inrunner/outrunner)

- manufacturer and model

- motor XML or screenshot of calculated motor values

- ideally the weight of the motor.

When I hit the throttle the rear wheel sutlers and seems like its not getting enough juice top it. Once im rolling im fine..but it takes a few tries and sometimes the throttle will just stop working for a few min. Ive tried adjusting the throttle input wizard again, ive tried changing th Dead Time Compensation...but I still cant get it to take off smooth.  Any input would be greatly appreciated  I've looked for hours, posted many questions o line and no real help sp far.....

Corrupted parameters when switching to BLDC mode

Submitted by perwollf on Mon, 2024-09-30 22:24

Forums:

I am using VESC tool 6.05. It has the same behaviour with two different ESC-s (flipky 75100 and makerbase MKS84100)  and motors (medium 16pole outrunner and large 14 pole outrunners with hall sensors):

No problems in FOC mode, motor and hall detection is OK. Motor is running normal.

If i change to BLDC mode, the detection is sometimes running well, and applying (saving) the parameters is succesful. My motors are running at higher rpms in BLDC mode and this at around 10% lower battery and motor amps. So i like it.

Reverse gear is engaged when power is lost

Forums:

Good day, i try to find problem source
I use radio controler "Radiomaster TX12 MKII" with PPM external signal, which receive  VESC and control BLDC motor
If connection lost ( radio controler power off for example ) the BLDC motor starts at maximum speed in reverse

Radio controler designed for control drones and i think after "lost connection" is starting "return to home" or something else
But maybe VESC can do it, i try to find this option in app and dont find, please help

Use ADC2 as reverse button for ADC+UART/Current Reverse Button

Submitted by jessejay356 on Mon, 2024-09-23 01:06

Forums:

General App to USE ADC + UART.

Under the ADC app I have control type set to Current Reverse Button.   As I understand this means then the PPM Input is used for Reverse.  I want to change this so ADC2 is used instead.   What do I need to do to make this happen?

Thanks,

Jesse

Forums:

Hi, I can't get the status message via can. I can control the motor duty and can read the can messages when sending message via can-analyzer. But status messages don't come with 2Hz as configured. Is there any hidden checkbox to finally activate?

thanks

I have been having a few odd issues with my board that i have been trying to diagnoise.. one of those being it automattically shutting off exactly 30min into a ride... (decided to set a timer after the 4th time) before that i was trying to see if i can log and see whats going on when this happens.. and the other issues.. however i go to select my directory and it appears for a second then disappears.. so i entered the dir manually and made sure it exsisted. I would then check start logging and then the vesc app will crash instantly...

Dead zone after 50% increase

Submitted by simDen on Thu, 2024-08-29 19:40

Forums:

Hello everyone, please help me figure out the dead zone on the controller. The problem is that when the stick deviates from the center by more than 50%, the speed does not increase, that is, 0-50% of the active zone scale, 51-100% is inactive (I control ground equipment from the remote control, the values on the remote control change 0-100% of the indicator, in the VESC program in the PPM display section it is the same for everyone 0-100%. But in life it seems that the speed increases by 50% and does not increase further, help with advice on where to look
