Can't find good parameters for FOC detection

Submitted by Kabroc on Thu, 2020-04-30 16:28

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on a 4012 480KV from T motor, power in 22.2V with a 15*8 propeller.

For now I use BLDC but results are not good so I wanted to use the FOC command mode. I make the motor pass the detection but once I write new values and try with Duty cycle input most of the time the motor don't follow the command or have difficulties which I believe come from my parameters for the test.

Hi guys,

i have issues with motor cogging. it was running fine for the first two month and few days ago it started acting weird. it will start cogging, high current draw low torque and speed .....

i am using fsesc 4.12, latest firmware. ive check vesc for faulty components with multimeter (mosfets, and resistors for them) and values are looking good. i have compared them to vesc 4.12 schematicks.

ive also checked motor with lcr meter and values are also looking good, i think :) bellow is table with phases inductance and resistance

Custom Battery Settings? Inaccurate Wh readings?

Hello, is there a way for me to create a custom battery pack data set to be selected in the battery dropdown? I am not sure if the settings preset in the three options for battery type make any difference, but the pack and cells i am using are for sure not in the category types available. My main concern is that the Wh consumed numbers being displayed form my rides is just not accurate. It said on one ride i use 550Wh, but i only used about 40% of my total pack capacity, which is in total only a 437Wh pack.

Hi everyone!

i have some doubs trying to analise the CSV records made by the android tool to help me choose a good battery pack to buy

i have an old scooter that i upgraded with a 4.12 vesc and a bldc hub motor but  i'm still using lead acid batteries

so my question is wich value in the CSV i have to look (and what does it mean), please let me know if i'm right

"current_in_setup" is the current that the battery is giving or providing

"current_motor_setup" is the current that the motor is using in the moment
