F50-300 (Design Not Tested yet)

Submitted by mrendu43 on Tue, 2021-03-09 11:49

Hello

I wanna share my design for VESC controller i made for my diy efoil.

Expected rating 50V 300A not tested yet.

Schematic is copy of 75/300 version but with few components changed.

Mosfet replaced with  IPT007N06N, i got  them realy cheap.

Rest of the components are more or less the same as 75/300

2 boards design top and bottom one are ir same file.

Lowest power/smallest available 3rd party board?

I'm interested in using vesc with a very small drone motor.  Haven't settled on a motor yet, but we're talking around 20A continuous max, probably on a 4s battery (14.8v).

The smallest VESC I have found so far is from Flipsky FSESC 4.12:

Now, compared to the standard drone ESC option:

using hall effect sensor for rpm detection

Submitted by meisterpro on Wed, 2021-03-03 01:26

Hi Everyone!

In my setup, I have some gears and differentials so e-rpm does not reflect the actual rpm I get from the shaft. I have a hall effect sensor to get the actual rpm value from the wheels. Do you have any idea how or if I can feed that value back to VESC 6 MkV. I want to see the relation between erpm and actual rpm and if the relation is somehow not linear, I want VESC to calibrate PID controller using the actual rpm.

Help with noise in rpm and ppm

Submitted by martin2day on Wed, 2021-02-24 14:22

Hello,

i build myself an VESC. It run but i get some noise in the rpm and ppm signal from my RC Resiver.

I think i do some errors in my layout with GND Routing or Placemant of the Elemnts.

Please can someone have a look at my layout and say whats wrong in the routing and can cause my problems... :-)

Thank you very much

Regards Martin

VESC for RC Powerboat

Submitted by martin2day on Wed, 2021-02-17 13:02

Hello,

i design a VESC for an rc speedboat....
Here i need an light controller with much power. The origianl BLDC Contoller use 4S and 150A... but more than 5 min driving is to hot.

So i deside to go up to 8s and less Current for the VESC.

I will use TO-220 Fet's with watercooling.

I build an Power and MCU board.

Power:

make and make upload okay, but no connection

Hello,

i build an VESC 6 hardware for my RC Boat.

Today i solder the MCU board and now i want to connect to pc, but i can't get any connection via USB.

I run Virtual Box vor make and make upload the code. At the end i get the massage "Vertivy OK"

Than i run VESC Tools 3.0 for mac but get no connection. I use a simular routing of the 75/300 so i use the HW from this conntoller.

Please help me

Thank you very much

Martin
