Lowest power/smallest available 3rd party board?

I'm interested in using vesc with a very small drone motor.  Haven't settled on a motor yet, but we're talking around 20A continuous max, probably on a 4s battery (14.8v).

The smallest VESC I have found so far is from Flipsky FSESC 4.12:

Now, compared to the standard drone ESC option:

Right now theres about a 10x size difference between the two.  I realize the VESC is much more capable, but I suspect the size difference really comes from the additional current capacity I do not need.

I cannot settle with the BHELI_S, ESC, as it does not have functionality that I require (regen), as well as VESC has some very nice features I plan to take advantage of (Velocity control).

Looking around more, I found a Holybro 50A version that doesn't have the giant caps hanging off it:

As well as this guy, which is roughly the same weight and area:

Any experience with the above, or know of any smaller? The flipsky definitely seems the most popular.

Ooo, I really wish this turned into an active project, or that the gerber files were available:

I feel like you've missed many of the smaller VESCs.

I personally wouldn't use a VESC on a drone unless you really really wanted the communications interfaces the VESC provides, otherwise I'm sure you'll get a much better response from something BLHeli_32 based.

Thanks for the links.  I had not seen the A50S, which seems to be what I'm looking for.  I should clarify this isn't actually for drone use and the bheli ESCs aren't sufficient as I need regen and speed control capabilities.
