Hello i have nrf51822 with 16k And 16Mhz.

Im trying to flash vesc firmware but with no luck...

After flashing i cant discover my nrf with vesc tool on my phone...

I tried all firmwares on githou, eaven those 32k, but without sucess.

tried flashing with vesc tool and with j-link,

Can anybody help..

Porting VESC firmware to ODrive hardware

Submitted by Remind on Wed, 2021-06-30 01:39

It seems like now, with proper dual motor support, it is possible to port VESC software to O-Drive hardware, however I'm not that great programmer: I've tried looking into hv_unity config files, but i can't spot the place, where all outputs going to motor drivers are defined.

The reason to port VESC firmware is that O-Drive hardware is cheaper than most available VESCs, but its software is limited to only about 30k ERPM, which is too low.

So, is there any proper docmentation for dual motor setups? Or can somebody try to help me implement my idea?

Regenerative Braking with Lead Acid Batteries

Submitted by daniel.cox@cant... on Sat, 2021-06-12 00:47

I am building an electric narrow gauge train unit using 1.8kW brushless DC motors to run on a 15" gauge line to access a remote cabin in Scotland. It seems more fun than a roadway.

My initial set up uses four 12V 12AH AGM lead acid mobility scooter batteries in series - mass isn't a big problem for a train!

Could the VESC 6 MkV unit use regenerative braking into lead acid batteries (with careful setting of the maximum current) or does it only work for lithium ion? I want to check first before trying.

TINY6

Submitted by Sojourn on Mon, 2021-05-31 03:20

Hi Folks,

Like many here I am working on my own VESC derivative that I am tentatively calling the TINY6. I based my hardware off of the VESC 6.4 and antonchromjak's MINI4 (and learned a lot from others, thank you everyone for open source designs!). I'm about ready to send my design off to be manufactured but before I do, I figured wouldn't hurt to see if anyone wanted to sanity check some of my design decisions.

A mini FOC driver(small,low cost)

Submitted by ncer on Sun, 2021-05-16 07:01

I'm a RC fans, and try to make a small foc/bldc driver to use in my model airplane.

While the size of vesc is a little big, so i did some change:

use discrete mos driver(fd6288) and current sensor(INA181) to replace Drv830x.

use mos with small package(qfn).

remove the usb interface.

use two  PCB layers so that it would be much cheaper than 4 layers.

I need help designing 200v 80a vesc

Submitted by qwerasdf on Mon, 2021-05-03 17:08

I'm trying to make brushless motor controller for my ebike.

I need it to have (forward reverse) (potentiometer input) (maybe brake) (hall inputs)

it's going to be mostly running hall less

Im trying to make it as cheap and simple as possible.

list of components that I have on hand:

smd ceramic capacitors: 50v 1nf 10nf 100nf 1uf 10uf 100uf  100v 48uf

disc ceramic capacitors 50v 106 104

smd resistors: 10 100 1k 10k 100k (2512 shunts) 0.004 0.001

tht resistor kit with values :
