MakerX 75/200 - destroyed USB-Port

Submitted by jangrik on Wed, 2022-02-23 22:01

Hello there,

i just destroyed mechanically my USB Port and I see no chance to repair it. How can I still connect my computer to the ESC?
I have a Flipsky Bluetooth Adapter connected to the COMM port of the ESC and can connect via smartphone but not via VESC Tools on the computer. Why not?
Any other possibilities? The COMM-Port directly or the CAN-Port? Which adapters do I need?

Any help appreciated, Thanks, Joerg

75100 ESC Hardware and firmware open source

I am the original author of 75100 hardware.I'm still a student and like DIY E-bike.

Due to my personal reasons, the schematic has not been completed. At present, there are only PCB files with chaotic component annotation and source code. There are also some typical features in the hardware design. Some resistors and capacitors are saved in some places, which is not a very perfect thing.

This is the 75100 which I have been working on for the last year March.

Have i bricked my flipsky FSESC 4.20?

When i configured my FSESC 4.20 with vesc tools i tried to drive my e bike motor with the arrow keys. When I pressed the right arrow the motor spun up. Then I accidentally pressed the left key simultaneously. The motor  instantaneously locked up and the esc shut down and there was a burnt smell. It won't start again. I guess I just have to get a new one or does anyone have any suggestion? What happend to it? It seems strange to me that I could brick it using vesc tools. Had just been running for a few seconds and it hadn't gotten hot.

Can't connect my FSESC through USB

Hi all,

I ran my FSESC 4.20 based on VESC 4 through VESC tools, updated the firmware, changed configs as I saw fit and configured input all good. After disconnecting, the ESC seemed to be working fine, it controlled the motor just as intended and reacted quite well to the input commands. However, when I tried to reconnect it to test a different input method, the PC wouldn't recognize the FSESC 4.20 anymore.

FOC parameter trouble

Hey all,

as you know, i build a custom pcb for my DPV (something like https://www.carbon-scooter.de/scooter.html#mono). I use a outrunner 60kv motor with 40A maximum motor current.

In BLDC mode, it works fine out of the Box. I reach a maximum eRPM about 25k @95% duty cycle and 23A motor current in rpm controlled mode. The DPV is fixed with a cord, so i measured a static maximum power. But in BLDC mode the dpv sounds under water like a kitchen aid and i want to use FOC

PWM timer issues on high voltage

Hello,

we are currently testing a slightly modified version of BESC G2.

While testing, we faced a strange behavior. Under certain conditions, the PWM input signals of the gate drivers gets some kind of "unstable". In detail, the duty cycle is suddenly incorrect (too long) for individual pulses.

The circumstances under which this happens:
