Weird sound from motor

Submitted by Jawed Hakimi on Sun, 2022-10-02 20:12

Hi, I am using a Flipsky 75100 (the older version) and I have paired it with a 2800w hub motor. I run the motor detection and setup input, however when ful throttle the motor makes this weird noise like some is hammering it. For the hall sensors I connected them correctly.

Diagnosing FSESC4.20 dead/weird phase (?)

Submitted by josephduchesne on Sun, 2022-09-18 23:52

I have an flipsky FSESC4.20 mini (50A), which up until today was working fine. I'm not pushing it too hard, just some bench testing with a 6S setup, 18A max current setting.

During a run (FOC sensored mode, AS5047 via SPI) today, the motor started jumping around rather than running smoothly and drawing the full 18A. I cut power in ~1second.

After that, the FOC mode hasn't worked smoothly.

Cogging and unstable battery voltage measurement

Hello,

I bought a Flipsky FSESC 6.6 60A more than a year ago, but I began to use it on an eBike this week (with a 1500W wheelhub motor).

The motor has a lot of cogging even with the auto calibration, and first of all I noticed that the battery voltage measurement is not stable at all, even when stopped the voltage can oscillate very quickly between 47 and 51V (12s 20Ah 12C Li-po battery).

Flipsky 75100 with Flipsky VX1 remote -- do I have the wiring right? (VESC4 connector)

Submitted by SeguinM on Sun, 2022-08-07 15:32

Hi all. Did a search and didn't find anything about this specific issue.

First time setting up an ESC so sadly I don't have a lot of experience under my belt.

For an electric snowboard project, I'm using a Flipsky 75100 with a VX1 remote. It didn't explicitly state anywhere what type of connector it needed, so I guessed VESC4 and it seems like it's the right type? Connects to the COMM wire.

Custom 75_150 board noise and not synchronized

Hi, i'm making VESC 75_300 based 75_150 board with smaller form factor.

It was very hard to just run motor few weeks ago, but after some parameter tuning it can run motor in sensored FOC mode.

I'm testing with T-motor U5 400kv, 6S lipo, AS5047P in Sensored FOC Mode on FW5.03.

BUT I am stuck at some point.

The problem is that when I increase duty over 5% at a time, motor screams and stop running.

FSESC75100 Doesn't Work When Unplugged

Submitted by zapshe on Fri, 2022-07-29 12:06

Hello,

I've got a 75100 and it works perfect.. until I disconnect it from my computer. When I do, the green light indicating it's receiving a signal from the controller dims, indicating it is not. I have the VESC connected to a microcontroller and can move my motor completely indepedent of anything I do on the computer.

It works fine even when VESC project isn't even open on my computer. But as soon as I unplug it stops working. Any ideas? Thanks.

Flipsky 75100 rebooting under load

Submitted by SpacePT on Tue, 2022-07-26 14:47

Hello guys, first post here!

I’m trying to use a Flipsky 75100 and at the beginning everything seemed to be working fine, I was able to detect the motor parameters, the hall sensors, and to spin the motor through the keyboard.

However, when I tried to apply some load, the VESC entered in a reboot mode! I read that it was regarding the 5v 1A BEC!
