VESC 6.05 Fault Coded under Voltage

Forums:

I have tried to review the other postings on this subject, but no fix has worked,...... I am using VESC 6.05 with a STR500 being fed by a 18650 3000mah cell pack in a 24p12s config, Right now the pack is at 84.7V.On the live data, everything seems fine until the motor hits ~65 percent duty cycle, at which point the STR500 goes into Under Voltage fault. I have adjusted the Nominal Min Voltage all the way down to 0 volts, does not appear to be having any impact. Can anyone advise what other parameters can trigger this faullt?

USB-serial_no ports show up at all

5S 22volt Battery connected to the VESC, USB swapped to different ports, restarted my PC, rearranged the power-on and connection steps for the booting up, I even gave my the application permissions that my WIN 10 Pro advised me "twice" not to allow, AND I"M STILL NOT SEEING A DROP DOWN SELECTION MENU THAT LETS ME CHOOSE A USB PORT TO CONNECT TO THE VESC.

Do I change the Baud channel? Do I open task manager to terminate third party applications blocking selections? Or do I have to give up on the free version of VESC Tool 6.02?

VESC runs only with 50% duty cycle

Forums:

Hello,

my problem is that the motor doesn't provide the full power. The acceleration is weak and the duty cycle rises slowly up to 50% an then stay constant.

I'm running a Flipsky motor 80100/130KV with a FSESC 75200 with the firmware 6.02.

My settings are:

Motortype: FOC; Sensortype: Hall Sensor; Motor Current Max: ±200A, Absolute Max current 250A; rpm and wattage > 100000, all limits are set very high

There is no error code in the debug console.

Thanks for your help.

VESC PID tuning for F1Tenth

Submitted by genozen on Wed, 2024-06-12 19:19

Forums:

Hello, I was following the  F1Tenth guide to tune the PID for my brushless motor with the Flipsky FSESC4.2: https://f1tenth.readthedocs.io/en/stable/getting_started/firmware/firmware_vesc.html

I got my motors to spin and tune using the FOC Detect and Calculate Parameters (step 6), but when I go to step 8, I'm not getting a clean step response.
