Timeout brake does not seem to work

Forums:

Hi, yesterday I was fiddling arround with different VESC SIX settings, and after my crash on caster board (with chinese esc) I wanted to set up timeout brake on my moutainboard. Bun unfortunately for me this option does not seem to work for me. I have benchwheel remote setup, dual VESCs with ppm input connected to master, slave via CAN. After I turn off remote while spinning motors at max throttle the VESCs spin motors for like 3-5 more seconds, then they slowly stop.

Invert motor direction.

Hi, has anyone tried this its under motor settings, general "invert motor direction" it doesn't work for me so had to swap phase wires over and do a motor detection again and all ok. the help section says this option is so you don't have to swap the phase wires over. Benjamin this is not a moan, just trying to give feed back on an amazing piece of Hardware/Software. I'm using Vesc Tool on Windows 10 dual booting on a Mac.

Mounting points through the PCB

Hi,

The heatsink has M5 threaded holes I assumed to allow it to be mounted neatly, however the PCB doesn't allow an M5 bolt to pass through the holes meaning you can't mount the VESC on stand-offs with the connectors facing the neck and the heatsink facing away from the deck where it would get better cooling and protect the connectors.

Is there enough clearance around these holes to allow them to be widened to allow an M5 bolt to pass through? Maybe in the production release?

Thanks,

Neil.

Hi folks :-)

So I have been working on a custom remote for the past week, planning to use the built-in NRF24-module on the VESC 6.4. However I have no idea, of where to start. I have tried using the "Input Setup Wizard" in the VESC-tool, however it can't seem to pair with my custom NRF-remote. Does anyone know how to set a nrf24l01 in this so-called "pairing mode"? I haven't been able to find any examples online, not even an Arduino-example.
