foc_openloop does not work.

I tried foc_openloop, and it did not work. It looks as if after a tenth of a second, a fault occurs or something like that. But no fault is registered.

Can sombody with the VESC6 on the bench reproduce this? Enable FOC Mode, and type foc_openloop 2 60 into the "terminal" tab?

That is probably because no alive packets are sent (not obvious to spot). You can try activating the alive button and run the command again.

Ah! OK. I'll try.

OK. Tried it. Now it works!

FYI, my motor starts out looking as if it is running in BLDC mode, jumping 60 degree Electrical Rotation every so often. It takes something like three or four full electrical rotations before the rotor stabilizes and starts turning smoothly. This is important for "FOC HALL SENSOR DETECTION".

A few seconds of ramp up speed on measuring flux linkage and sensors would probably be a good idea. At the moment with heavy motors the result can be pretty violent.
