throttle responce

Submitted by TONY61 on Tue, 2025-02-04 17:43

Hi,

hope someone can help.

im setting up a vesk 60100hp on a bosch gen4 mid motor (No sensors. driuver board removed)

The motor detection works fine , as does the throttle detection (chinese ebike hall sensor type)

the throttle is mapping at 2..5v max input.

however the motor starts at approx 15% and is full speed at 20% .

its practically an on off switch, although tere is a ramp if your really carefull rolling on.

this is the second vesk ive tried and both reacted the same.

Any Ideas?

regards

Makerbase VESC 84200HP It won't turn on.

Hi,

I just bought the title device. I tested the motor of the electric scooter for one day and everything worked normally. In the morning, I turned on the power and now the VESC shows a continuous blue LED and flashing red. I can't connect via BT or USB. The engine was only used in the air and the ADCs, etc., were adjusted correctly and functionality was tested. Any ideas?

Issues with UART Connection: VESC 6.05 and ESP32 Display

#define Tx1 27
#define Rx1 22
// Initialize UART1 (Serial1) on custom pins (for example GPIO 27 as Tx and GPIO 22 as Rx)

Serial2.begin(115200, SERIAL_8N1, Rx1, Tx1);
Serial.begin(115200); // comms for debug
Serial2.begin(115200); // Setup UART port (FOR VESC) pins rx2 and tx2
UART.setSerialPort(&Serial2);

Hello,

I’m having trouble and need your help. I want to connect a DIY display to my Ubox85150 with VESC 6.05.

Hub Motor Setup Issues

Submitted by iss_aerospace on Sun, 2024-09-29 20:12

Hi All,

We are using Flipsky Dual Mini FSESC6.7 Pro ESCs with L-Faster 500W hub motors. Currently waiting on some info from the manufacturer of the motors, but thought id try herein the interim to see if there are any tips.

So with the VESC tool, we go through the motor setup wizard, and can get to a state where the wheels are working. Or so we thought, this was on axle stands, so free rolling. Once on the ground, there is basically no torque.

New to the VESC tool, so a few questions/notes, and hopefully someone can decode this to some pointers:

Trying to upgrade old Enertion FOCBOX Fw 2.18

Submitted by jyl087 on Fri, 2024-09-13 16:26

Hi, I have an old Enertion Focbox, from approximately 2016. I recently downloaded the new VescTool 6.05 and when I connect it to the Focbox it says that it is on "limited mode" because of the old firmware (2.18) but that a bootloader has been detected and hence it can be updated. My main motivation for upgrading is that I want to move to a different (higher) battery configuration.

Here's what the tool says about my HW/SW:

Fw: v2.18
Paired: false, Status STABLE
HW Type: VESC, Phase Filters: No
NRF Name: No, Pin: No

Why only 1000 phase amp limit, and field weakening amp limits

I have a water cooled, peltiere assisted, thermally well regulated flipsky 75450 pushing a QS260 V4.2 that can handle 80+Kw.  The maximum phase amps has a 1200a burst rating, however, even with the no hardware limit firmware, it limits maximum phase amps at 1000.  Is there a way to increase this to 1200+?

Yes I do need 1200 amps, and my battery is a 72v 70Ah set of samsung power cells that are rated at 1000 amps peak.

Flipsky VX4 screen delays when full throttle

Submitted by newbie on Mon, 2024-07-01 16:47

I have a hub motor that I am connecting to a Spintend 100V single ESC. Recently have upgraded to a flipsky vx4 remote and upped my motor current to 60 amps from 45 amps and noticed that the screen display will lag in its readout on the screen when im pinning the throttle.  When I let go of the throttle wheel the screen immediately updates. To note, previously I was running PPM and UART for the remote and now I am running just UART. I moved the flipsky receiver further away from the motor controller and this problem goes away.
