Delay on reverse function on electric boat

Submitted by FreddyForLaunch on Tue, 2021-06-01 12:31

Forums:

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can reduce the time delay from forward to reverse operation? I guess it has something to do with a "max erpm before full brake" parameter, but I cannot find

this setting in the android Vesc Tool.

I am using vesc6 with firmware 5.1 on an electric boat. To configure, I use android Vesc Tool 2.06.

Sensored acceleration vs sensorless

Hi everybody,

I recently connected the hall sensors of my 26 inch wheel hub motor to my flysky VESC 6.6 (12S, 60A) .

The result is a way smoother with no more "failure" in the acceleration. But the acceleration itself is much slower than with sensorless mounting.

Do you have any idea of which settings I could change to get the maximum acceleration allowed by my motor ?

Android VESC Tool downloaded from Play Store.

Lacroix Lonestar Supersport.

The stormcore showed up in the list of paired devices for a while but I wasn't getting the app to work correctly (I'm new so sure it was operator error).  I deleted the entry for the stormcore in the list of paired devices and at that time I didn't know I should unpair it.  I assumed deleting it would unpair it.  I am not getting this message when I try to connect to the stormcore:

FOC configuration - Motor stalls during measurement

Hello all,
I am new to the platform and have just started configuring my engine. About the setup engine FOC this was also correctly detected and ran properly. In the FOC settings of the engine settings I wanted to test again RL, which also worked. However, when testing the engine flux linkage, the engine starts first and then blocks abruptly.
What could be the reason for this?
Do I have to adjust another setting?
The motor polarity is actually automatically detected, or am I wrong?

APP settings for Motor Position and RPM control with PPM

Submitted by Marcos Bleda on Fri, 2021-05-21 10:47

Forums:

Hey,

I am using VESC paired with an electric motor in order to control a propeller that will be implemented in a small aircraft.

I am wondering if it is possible to have some type of set up or configuration using PPM or other type of control APP, that allows for controlling the position of the motor.

When I want to update I have first downloaded newest bootloader on all of them using the usb cable
After that I conencted to one of them using USB, went to the Firmware tab, selecting my custom firmware.
I select the update ALL button, I can see the LED on all of the pcb's are flashing like sparkling..
Then its done, and I reset the power

read RPM over CAN

Hello,

we´re trying to build a speedometer over CAN massages.

We set the CAN Baud to 100K and the CAN Mode to Comm Bridge but our CAN analyser only reads Errors.

Is there a setting mistake?

If there is an easier way to build such a speedometer with RPM, please let me know. ;)

We´re using an VESC 6 MK 4.
