Need some help on motor config and app config for Flypsky 65161 motor with FSESC75200 75V

Hi Everyone,

We are building an electric boogie board(Tow boogie) to tow folks on their foil board. Here is a youtube video that shows how it works.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXAEtRpQjOA.

Our Tow Boogie Build has run into issues with the speed of the boogie. The motor doesn’t seem to be generating enough speed. For starters we followed the boogie on a surfboard and got up to 7mph speed.

Problem with motor startup - only 1/2 of pole positions work in FOC

Hi everybody,

this is my first post here, but I have been working with VESC's for the last 2 years, building an ebike. Recently, I decided to upgrade to VESC 6.6, as my other two 4.12 VESC's died during driving, and I suspect it was due to bad cooling and old hardware/design.

ESC blinks red when I give it input

Hello I'm new to the DIY scene and I have an issue. I just put together an electric skateboard and all was good for about a week till the ESC just kept blinking red led 3 times, anytime I give a wireless remote an input. My board no longer moves anymore. I tried recharging the batteries and nothing changed. The motor slightly moves whenever I use the VESC software to do the motor setup but the ESC continues to blink red 3 times and then the motor stops working.  What could be my issue?

Joystick Control Input

Submitted by mrjoedave on Tue, 2021-03-02 02:42

I am wanting to make a small one person vehicle that uses separate motors on the front wheels to steer it like a tank/skid steer. I wont actually have tracks on it though.  I am wanting to do this with two eskate motors and a motor controller for each. This would all be pretty straight forward except I want to control both motors with a single POT based joystick.  I don't mind doing my homework to learn on my own, but I am just not sure where to look. Where can I find some info on how to hook up a VESC bases emc with a hardwired signal, rather than a remote?

Sporadic Duty Cycle

Submitted by Patrick Donovan on Tue, 2021-03-02 01:34

Hello, this is my first post on the forums. I had a 4.12 vesc based speed controller and I damaged it so I used the stm32f4 chip to fix a vesc 6 based controller after its processor died. I had an issue with the duty cycle pulsing between -150 to 150 % and it continued to happen after I had soldered it onto my new vesc 6 based esc. I was able to connnect and update the firmware so that the stm32f4 would work. I am suprised i made it this far.

Controlling (HB) Braking from Arduino

Currently I am using the development branch of RollingGecko/VescUartControl to control two Flipsky 4.12 50A VESCs with an Arduino Mega. I find that the setBrakeCurrent() function has a similar result to the IB (!) button in VESCTool.  This appears to be intented to slow rotation rather than cause a complete stop.  I want to be able to lock up the wheels if rotation is detected when the controller is in neutral.

The HB (!) button in VESC tool provides the type of braking that I need. How can I call this function from an Arduino?

esc tester

I  am using a simple ESC /servo tester connected to the PPM, just to get up and running as I am awaiting my pukka controller. But the maximum rpm seems low for my KV and voltage. The duty cycle is around 60% peak and I wondered if these servo testers are creating a false limit?

Vesc red LED on

Submitted by dsuresh on Wed, 2021-02-24 18:01

Hi there,

IO have plugged in 3 different vesc and all of them seem to have the blue LED on(for power) and the red led on(for the fault code). When I plug in the vesc to the laptop and autoconnect, it give me the error "Could not autoconnect. Make sure that the USB cable is plugged in and that the VESC is powered.". what can be the reason for the vesc to not connect. I have updated all the drivers and when the vesc is connected to the system it does populate that the USB was connected in the device manager.

can anyone please help em with this
