I've googled for this and it seems like it only works with skateboard remotes.

I ride e-bikes and scooters. I've used a variety of EV grade motor controllers and never run across one that doesn't have at least high and low that are selectable with a rocker switch. Low, medium and high or modes 1, 2 and 3 are very common in controllers. Add the 3 way switch, program what you want the 3 modes to do and off you go.

and in readme i found in linux need run X server,how can i do it right in windows? 

i have delete the serialport part in windows to show the video only.

I'm working on a project that uses a VESC to control a propeller on a dive propulsion vehicle. Normal controllers are hard to deploy so I'm using two switches with different resistors to create a low and high throttle setting in ADC mode.

When I start up, I get a quick stutter I'd like to massage out of the system. Video here:

Anyone have suggestions for what's going on and how I can fix it?

Hi, great open source project.

  I promised myself I would donate if VESC could detect and run my motors. 

It worked, buttery smooth motor control...forward, reverse, and regen!

In a different thread someone was saying current shunt variation was affecting their HFI performance. Presumably they weren't able to get an accurate current measurement and this prevented an accurate inductance measurement?

Just another  brake question ,  as I try to    finish my  Gokart project 

Is there anyone who know how to fix brake / keep motor position while stop ?

I am not   talking about parking brake as it push  20.....50A  to your motor  (depend on settings)  to hold on wheel 

Regen brake is good when you  drive  fast, if slowing down ...and down ...and down efficiency of brake  is going poor and finally  will not stop till 0

what I need  is to apply brake  when is  1-2km/h (190-380erpm) for example) and hold on  the wheel.

I have an Outrunner motor that runs at 250v 2a...

I'm looking at VESCtool 'HFI Max Voltage'  but only goes to 15v...

Is this Forum Topic appropriate place to ask?

I did not find documentation parameters in 'Documentation' is there another place to look?

A simple general question is HFI - 'High Frequency Injection' accurate?  Is there a place you define terms?

Any body able to give a quick how to on how you go about setting up Regen pls?Its on ADC2 port,connected to a thumb throttle and voltage move in real time data tabs.Mapping is correct on start of regen throttle voltage ect.

I are running a vesc chassis using 4 vescs, we are able to control them fine going forward but when going backwards, the controller freaks out and spins the motors at really high rpms. if you could point me to how vesc tool handles setting reverse rpms that would be a huge help. We are using a python script that is converting rpms to the hex values for cansend.

I am using a vesc 75/300 on a big outrunner motor without sensor, this system is built in Boat. On 48 Volt battery system.
at 2/3 of the throttle stick the Vesc is starting to stuttering. It seems like it is loosing the synchronization. this happens at 50 amp (battery side)  I can sent a video if it helps ?
what can i do to avoid this ?
I used 20 amp in the detection setup and changed the T? parameter from 1000 to 500 to 250
