Hello guys, first post here and REALLY newbie here.
Hi Everyone
Sorry to ask such silly question here. But I still not understand completely how different between VESC 4 and VESC 6 on the hardware and firmware,Would everyone can share the more comprehensive information to me?
Thanks
I'm having issues getting a bigger motor to run. We're now suspecting that the hall sensors are misplaced....
With the foc-hall-sensor-table the hall sensors could be more-or-less randomly placed, provided they are correctly spaced. However, when you want to use the hall sensors to directly translate to the "best" activation of the motor coils, the hall sensors should change at the same rotational positions that the "best activation" changes, right?
Hi:
I am a student and I have a vesc in my racecar. After I have loaded some xml and servoout.bin,I can use joystick to control my servo. But when I am ready to control my moto, the moto does not work sometimes. I mean sometimes moto can work, but some times moto does not work and vesc flash red flights 4 times. So ,where did I get error? the xml or vesc?
thank you verry much :)
I want run 6374 motor in position mode with encoder.
Firstly I test motor in sensorless modes (BLDC and FOC), it work good.
I connect encoder, remove filters from h1,h2, h3 inputs, leave only pullup resistors.
Test with encoder, RL and lambda pass ok. But motor not work with encoder. It run slowly as stepper motor, with high current. Pid settings don`t give any effect.

Work with encoder 400 RPM max, very high current
I'm having some trouble tuning my VESC 4.12 (latest firmware) for optimal performance. I use the VESC on my ebike with a 12s lithium battery and a 9C 2706 hub motor with hall sensors in FOC mode.
I find the sensorless ERPM threshold confusing. As far as I can tell there are no instructions for how to choose a good value for this. The main issue I am having is that when my bike has changed to sensorless mode under heavy acceleration, the motor cogs heavily and sometimes causes an ABS_OVER_CURRENT error. I captured an example of this with my data logger:
I have read on here about and abs current being turned up past the stock 150amps ,how's this possible ? Mine will not go above 150a is it a.special firmware ?? How can I get higher abs .
Thanks
Twin 118 trampa motors with Vesc 6 l was running a10s 4 p battery no juddering now running 12s 6p went through wizards on Vesc tool ,the board judders on hard acceleration and on hill start ,running foc and sensors, any ideas on what to adjust,
Has anyone tried dc mode on custom hardware? If I select it and write the config it crashes and won't start. I am curious if it actually works on a normal vesc 6.
My hardware blew up thursday, I'm bringing up new hardware.
Somehow something is wrong, and I odn'tunderstand what.
I see:

I would say that the BEMFas seen by the VESC looks nice, but how come the phase detection iscompletely wrong?
