I try run a BLDC motor from a hoverboard with VESC. My challange is to run the motor very slow, about 10rpm.

I started with FOC using the integrated hall sensors. Fine but it is not possible to rotate the motor really slow.

I attached an AS5047 encoder because I thought that the resolution of the hall sensors is probably not sufficient to let the speed PID controller work properly.

With the AS5047 is see the following

setting duty cycle to about 12% (no PID) rpm is swinging between 600rpm and 800rpm.

The fw on the Vesc I am playing with is a spare and the firmware on it is 2:18 is it updatable

I have a mountain board with trampa motors 12s battery and trampa Vesc going off-road ie a golf course lots of grass making the setup work much harder than on tarmac the motors get hot and leave me standing still ,is there settings I can adjust with the Vesc tool to prolong my ride time on the golf course and other off-roading or should I stick to tarmac

I an trying to send command to the Vesc6 via the built-in nrf chip with an arduino+nrf. With the following configuration on vesc and arduino,  the vesc receives nothing.

configuration :

power : 0dBm

speed : 1mpbs

crc length: 2 bytes

no ACK

retry delay 1500us

retries 5

address : 0xc6c700.

does someone have an arduino code working for this setup vesc> nrf+arduino ?

I want to etablish communication even with arduino as receiver and vesc transmitter.

Hi, I've got a Trampa mountain board with 136kv motors, vesc6's and 12s zippy batteries which I've just set up. Due to lack of a CAN cable I'm just setting up the 1 vesc for now. After much confusion I've got the motor and controller configured (sort of) but when I accelerate the motor is just running in reverse. I've tried inverting the motor direction in the app but this has no effect... can anyone help?

Before ordering a VESC based ESC, I'd like to know if it can be used to drive a brushless with very low startup rpm.  Use case would be an RC tug boat which would benefit from really low RPM to full RPM (voltage x kv).

As of today, I noticed that clicking the link on the hardware page results in a Trampa Boards page that says  "Sorry this product is no longer available"

Is the VESC really no longer available? When will it be available again?

Please could someone give me an idea whati s going on. 

FW:3.38 HW:410 (I have noticed that vesc says 4.12 on front of it however vesc tool says its 410, not sure if this is a problem)

It is a sk8 vesc with a KEDA 200kv BL motor

I has been working fine for the last month on the bench however now it wont connect to motor.

On FOC motor detect it takes about a minute or two for RL (the red led starts to flash 3 times every 10(ish) seconds) then says R=0, please measure first.

Can I use the vesc tool to tinker with the settings on my raptor 2

I hope you can help me.

Got a new Trampa MTB with dual VESC 6 setup.

Now, setting up the VESCs it runs through the setup just fine for both the VESCs, and it looks like the setup for my remote control is just fine aswell.. Now i get an issue I've never had before setting up an ESC.

If i try to throttle motors up in the VESC tool using either the remote, or the arrows in the VESC tool, the motors just really blocks up real good. You can't spin them anywhere! Regenerative breaking is working fine though.
