Can I use the vesc tool to tinker with the settings on my raptor 2
Hi guys,
I hope you can help me.
Got a new Trampa MTB with dual VESC 6 setup.
Now, setting up the VESCs it runs through the setup just fine for both the VESCs, and it looks like the setup for my remote control is just fine aswell.. Now i get an issue I've never had before setting up an ESC.
If i try to throttle motors up in the VESC tool using either the remote, or the arrows in the VESC tool, the motors just really blocks up real good. You can't spin them anywhere! Regenerative breaking is working fine though.
Hey guys!
I have the following problem:
Last year (November) I build with my pupils e-longboards at school. Now 7 month later we want to reactivate the project.
But now I have the problem to get the error "no firmware response" when I connect the VESC with my laptop. For some seconds there is the sign "connected" and then the error follows.
I also tried different cables and it is the problem with every board (strange).
Maybe my software is to old (also downloaded in November last year) to work with the firmware?
HI,
I have an E-bike motor with hall sensors, and I just detected and installed FOC mode. A little testing shows that sometimes it doesn't start. As this is just for a test, that is fine with me.
I then made the motor turn and got a sample from the "sampled data" tab. What suprisded me is the quality of the BEMF that was measured, and the wrong-ness of the FOC position estimation....
Hi,
I'm a bit disappointed by the range of motion and feel of the typical e-bike throttles, and I'm wondering if designing my own throttle around these components below wouldn't give me the best results in terms of fine control of acceleration and braking.

Do you receive notifications by email when there is a new post? I have seen that someone else had this problem but I do not know if it is general
To get notifications in some way I have tried adding it to tapatalk but it seems the forum need a extension installed to work with tapatalk
So my question is How do you know that there are replies in a thread?
Hi everyone,
I am trying to control two VESC modules with a Raspberry Pi 3, however, I can't seem to connect them.
I started with just one, and when running the command lsusb (I'm working on Ubuntu Mate 16.04.2) the RPi doesn't seem to find the VESC.
The VESC I am using (a version 6) I already tried on my Windows 10 laptop and there it worked fine. Its firmware is updated (3.38) and I even did the motor setup and was able to control the motor with the arrow keys.
Hi there,
today I tried my first VESC build, and I´m starting to get the hang of it except a problem I have when braking.
I´ve tried everything to solve it, but nothing has worked. The VESC is a MAYTECH VESC v4.12, and it throws an error when braking.
The error is the following:
Can anyone explain the 3 throttle curve settings in he vesc tool to me
I'm designing an Electrostatic Field Mill - a device to measure electrostatic fields. One part of the device is a small rotor spinning. My plan is to use an re-purposed hard drive motor to do this and now I'm looking at VESC as a possible ESC. It will probably be an overkill, but it is important for the measurements that the motor produces as little electrical noise as possible.
