Failure of FOC mode brake,Fault is Drv
I use VESC tool to test DC motor. If i set duty to 0.7 or high ,can not start motor. If I set duty to 0.2,it’s ok,and then gradually increase the duty,it’s also ok.
Hi,
I have been trying to find the AS5047P. But it seems out of stock everywhere.
What other options are there that would work ? I have been looking at the AS5047D and the AS5058A/B would they work
Thanks
RF
Hello everyone. Are there settings to begin with to control a 350 watt hoverboard motor with a VESC? The motor has 27 stator poles with 30 magnets, it's sensored with hall effect bipolar latched sensors. from previous posts I understand that I should post screenshots with the settings I have been working with, but I have veered so far off course that I think it's best to check for settings to start with (as my settings may have zero logic in them). Many thanks!
Hi,
I wrote this in another post, I guess I need separate thread for it.
Now i want to test Vesc in a hybrid power system, the motor is attached to a small gasoline engine, and it is difficult to detached the motor, so i want to know can i do the motor parameters identification in this mode (with the shaft load).
Wating for your answer.
I have two alien power 80mm motors running in FOC.
I have hooked the sensors up and checked that i can rotate the motor slowly and get 5v on the different hall sensors between the +5V and phase hall sensors, but I've read I should get voltage from hall sensor to ground, can I not operate in this way??
It WILL NOT detect the motor hall sensors in BLDC or FOC mode, and i'm pretty sure i've hooked upeverything right, since i do get output on the sensors when probed with a volt meter.
what the heck am i doing wrong!?
hello everyone i am tauhid from Bangladesh. i have brought a vesc and using it for my Ebike . Now i am having some issues with regenrative braking option as it stopping my bike so quickly that one day my motor mount get stucked in spok . how can i stop this option and let my motor spin freely with wheel after i release my throttle. i am using a 3 pin throttle and using duty cycle mode . min voltage .06 and max voltage 2.60. i dont understand this parameter very good. what can i do to stop this braking option ?
Hello,
I am Uwe from Den Haag, working on Wind Drones (aenarete.eu).
Is there a documentation of the VESC API (application programming interface)?
I would like to control the set speed of a VESC, operating in speed control mode and log the actual speed,
motor current, battery voltage, battery current and duty cycle.
Generator : Trying to avoid the brakes locking at low speed in FOC even when braking current is called for over UART. e.g. I'd like to be able to override the firmware call to apply the short all phases style of braking at low speeds.
