Hello Vesc community,
Hi!
I recently saw a STM32 'black pill' is now available on Aliexpress for low costs, can a VESC be built on these microcontrollers ?
They have either STM32F401CCU6 or STM32F411CEU6 MCUs
Advantages:
- No soldering of MCU
- Easier DIY board
Thanks!
Hello!
I have been noticing that under lower voltages, the amount of resistance given by the same motor under a lower voltage is a lot less than the resistance given under a higher voltage. Is this normal behavior? Or should the resistance under regen braking be the same as long as the motor do not reach the set braking current?
Thanks,
Steve
This issue was mentioned in a few other threads together with other issues but I would like to have a thread dedicated specifically to the battery current readings in FOC mode. Hopefully, we can get to the bottom of it.
I am running my custom HW described here: https://vesc-project.com/node/1477
However, a few people reported similar observations on other HW including the original VESC HW such as 75/300.
Hello!
New VESC user here. I have worked with VESC for a couple of months so far.
The current setup is that we use two VESC and motors on the same shaft in a steering actuator for a prototype vehicle.
I have a stm32 development board that ı control pwm with current sensor.I want to run this card with VESC.Is this possible.Best Regards.
Was curious if there is anything special to achieve proper motor detection in both BLDC and FOC modes for large hub motors such as the one linked below?
Hello Everyone,
I'm looking to get a motor from a onewheel, and drive it with VESC, but apparently those motors have 6 phase windings.
Being one offset of the other one.... I read a little bit online and it looks like you can drive those motors with two controllers, is that correct? anyone has tried this?
The motor has hall sensors, if I can use two vesc's, how would I use the same sensor on two VESC's?
Best regards,
Vitor Henrique
Hi Everyone!
i have some questions, i hope that is the correct place to ask
i'm building a ebike, and i'm using an ADC throttle to say to VESC to accelerate, this is only one way throttle, and i want to configure to accelerate and brake, so....
there is a way to config the throttle to the first half of the throttle be to accelerate and the other halt to brake?
In older firmware up to 3.65 the motor runs well in sensor less control. But at firmware V4 the motor jerk but does not spin. It does spin when perform motor profiling. So as a result, I revert the firmware version back to V3.65 and continue using it. The motor is a U8 170KV which has 21 pole pairs from Tmotor. Will it be possible that the inductance of the motor is too high which cause it to work abnormal. Out of few times result i collected it shows a winding resistance of 58mohm and 47uH.
