VESC 6.05/STR500 ADC1 dead

Submitted by amblerev on Mon, 2024-11-18 20:02

I am doing a vehicle install. I bench tested the system before install, so ADC1 was working with the analog throttle at one point.. But after install ADC1 does not read any input, it stays reading ~.47v. regardless of the input voltage I switched the throttle wipe to ADC2 and the wipe did the full 0-3.3v range, so do not believe this is a throttle or wiring issue. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and were you able to wake up the ADC input. up? Assuming my ADC1 is non-recoverable, is there a way to use an analog throttle on a different input?

Motor won't hold constant speed

Hello, this is my first post on here, so thank you in advance if you can help me with my controller!

I am doing a special project and have a Flipsky FSESC6.9 Plus (Based on vesc6.6) controller and a 63100 motor (single), running on a 48V power supply input. I'm using a PPM input (servo tester) and monitoring everything on my laptop.

replacing in wheel controler with vesc 6 mk vi?

Submitted by arni on Tue, 2024-11-12 15:40

Hello there,

I drive a electric bike from Rayvolt. Sadly at the moment the bike is dead. No indicated Lights on the SOC Leds and no motor spin.

This bike has a 1000 W motor in the back wheel with an integrated controller. I have a spare Wheel (with Controller) and had a litle look over this. Now i think about replacing this proprietary controller with an vesc 6. But is it the right choice? Is it compatible at all? What do I have to change on the Bike?

Macro or Script

Submitted by nsneller@postha... on Wed, 2024-11-06 21:58

I'm programming a large amount of Vescs. Is there a simple way to record a macro or write a script?

My process is something like.

Connect

Upgrade all Firmware

Load MotorA xml

Load AppA xml

Write MotorA xml

Write AppA xml

Switch to CAN-device (non-local)

Load MotorB xml

Load AppB xml

Write MotorB xml

Write AppB xml

Swicth to Local Device

Activate Real Time

Verify Forward mph

Verify Reverse mph

Controller just shuts off

So my flipsky 75100 sits down/off. I've recently went to a

60v 16s8p.

Motor current max 250a

Max break-10a

Absolute  350a

Battery max 80v

Max regen -2a

Vokt cutoff start 59v

End 49v

Max watt 1000w

Braking -100w

Min input 45v

Max input 72v

Min duty .5%

Max duty 99%

Min currently .05a

Field weakening 40a

How to prevent ground loop?

I have 2 vescs connected with can bus and single power supply. Both the vescs have same firmware and i am using similar bldc motor. I tried controlling the two vescs using the vesc tool via usb, but it didnt work and i can only run one motor at a time. So after a lot of search i found that i can may be use arduino via UART port to run both the vescs.

I tried running both the vescs individually using arduino and it works fine, but my doubt is when i connect it to the master vesc, do i have to connect only the communication wires or GND as well?

lispBM on VESC for special algorithm

Submitted by Fusion on Fri, 2024-10-25 11:34

Hello!

I am using MKS and FlipSky 50A VESC to control 350W 24V DC motors. I would like to have some special algorithm of current limitations. For example, when motor is idle (DUTY CYCLE =0) I would like to have much more current to start motor under load for few seconds , then I can make it lower. The same for changing direction. When DUTY CYCLE cross "0" we set MAXIMUM CURRENT, after few seconds, we set it to regular current limit.

What do You think, does it make sense?

How to write such lisp script? Can somebody help me with it?
