Hi everyone,

I uploaded a custom firmware to my 4.12 Vesc via the Vesc tool, but after that the Vesc didn't reconnect via USB. So I flashed the firmware directly via an ST-Link V2-1 from a Nucleo board, which did flash and verify.

However I still don't see anything in dmesg when I plug in the USB. The vesc tool also doesn't connect or display a port.

I'm new to the project, and so far could set up the board with a tMotor Antigravity 4006 to work with PPM input and sensorless PID speed control.

I've been trying to connect an ABI encoder (AMT 102) to the GND/H3/H2/H1/5V pins normally used for Hall encoders. But I do not get any position signals, although I turned the encoder also to pass the Index mark.
Using HW 4.12 with the up-to-date firmware, and the VESC tool 0.95.

I am new to VESC and I have a Maytech VESC, HW 4.12. It which is rated 8-60V. Is there a way to change the low voltage cutoff to 7.5V? 

I want to make the VESC work with a 2S LiPo battery. I will use the VESC to control a 1/10th scale RC car which is designed to work with 2-3 S LiPo battery.

I measure the parameters of the motor.

On the purchased driver L = 67 μH.

At the manually collected L = 123 μH.

The motor is the same.
Why such difference?
How is the inductance measured?
How to fix the disadvantages of a self-made driver?

So far I could not find a whole lot of information about this despite searching a lot. My Nano circuit is ready and control a standard Servo for test purposes. How do I connect the VESC without blowing anything up? 

An official answer from Benjamin or Trampa would be great. Not just for me, but all the others trying to do the same.

Mainly I need the max input voltage on PPM (Servo) for VESC6.

Hi all, 

I have been trying for a few days to get my brandnew VESC 6.4 to work. It is supposed to be controlled by an Arduino over PPM. The Arduino has a power supply with a switch. If I turn that off, it normaly turns off the Arduino. But with the VESC connected only to Battery GND and PPM Signal to the Arduino pin, it powers the Arduino!  

Another problem I have is that the VESC always loses the USB connection to my computer after having it connected for 5sec or so. 

Does the Vesc4 have two Analog output pins and two analog input pins I can use for a project? I can rework the board but couldn't find any on the schematic and wondering if they just aren't there or if I'm missing something. Thanks!
