Today I burned my Vesc 75/300 while testing it without load.
I was using the Vesc since one year without problems in my Surron bike.
Some weeks ago I switched to 16S from 14S battery and had some ABS_Overcurrent faults on fast accelerating at about 380A phase current. Normal riding was possible without problems on lower currents.

I just received the Maytech MTSESC6.6 and I am brand new to the project with a couple of questions. What a great community! Please talk to me like I'm 5, this is all new but I learn pretty fast. LOL.
1. What resolution should I choose for the encoder? (100, 128 ... 1024, 1250.... 5000, 8192) So many options!
2. What type of electrical output should the encoder have? (line driver or open collector)
3. Do I need an index pulse for motor Top Dead Center?
When exactly in spring will it be available? Price?
On/off button for precharge?
Any special price for people who preordered the VESC 75/300 and wondered that after some months that the price dropped 100€?

I bought a VESC 6 Plus in April 2019 from trampaboards and a 10s3p pack with a Bestech D140 10S at the same time. From the beginning I've had problems with if the board is turned off and then later turned on again (using an anti-spark switch). In-between that, the battery and VESC have not been touched at all. Once turned on, all settings are fully reseted (likely including low-battery limits), and the firmware is reverted to an older one. I haven't found much about it and no solutions.

We've been using a FOC 75/300A from Trampa as a starter motor on a special application. We're using a big outrunner (10 pole pairs) and a AS5047 encoder.
Everything had been going -kinda- well until we started upping the phase Amps (going from 120 to 200, still well within spec) and then all of a sudden the VESC seemed to have "lost" track and produced loud growling noises and shut down.

Hi everybody, I've got a problem with the hall sensor circuit on one of my VESC 6+'s. In the last couple weeks, I have had to update the firmware 3 times (now on 3.65). I don't know if the firmware has anything to do with it, but I am left with this issue after the fact.

I am using the VESC 4.12 hardware for a project. For the project I am using 4 VESCs and all of them receive their commands from one central computer/controller. I am not using CAN because of the data rate I require and the speed of my control loop.
I am trying to control it with SPI. On the 4.12 schematic (BLDC 4), the comms header (P3) has SPI pins available. What do I need to do to control the VESCs over SPI. Can you tell me how to go about this, and can you confirm if the SPI logic level is 3.3V or 5V?

I have a boat with a Heinzmann PMS 120 motor, powered by a 16S LiFePO4 pack and controlled by a Sevcon Gen4 controller.
I'm considering a switch to the VESC 75/300. The VESC Tool seems like a much more useful tool then the Sevcon software.
The motor is equipped with a sin/cos encoder. Would the VESC be able to interface this?
