Hi,
When I connect the VESC-6 to vesc-tool I am informed that the VESC has too old firmware and that the tool will only allow firmware update.
Using Dual FSESC 4.20 Plus and VX1 remote and running FOC with 2 BLDC motors. I go to setup input > Master VESC > PPM RC receiver > PPM mapping. I also turned on RT app data. When I push and pull the throttle, no data is displayed on the "VESC Tool" and "From VESC" bars on the Pulselength section. Remote, receiver, and motors seem to work fine when I hit the throttle outside of the setup. I keep going to "General" to change "APP to use" to PPM instead of PPM and UART, but it doesn't save that option, if that's a relevant problem. Could be the firmware too.
Hello, folks,
built my three-year-old daughter a little bicycle.
but I have a little problem with the throttle response and the acceleration.
I built an electronic e-bike throttle and connected it to the ADC1 input. I set Min Voltage (0,85V) and Max Voltage (2,55V). Center Voltage is set to 1.7V.
Benjamin, would it be possible to remove the bootloader update section from FW Tab?
Lately I have been unable to update the Firmware on my VESCs (HW60). After doing some research I not only found that I probably have accidentally bricked them by updating the bootloader, I also noticed there are quite a few others that are stuck with the firmware update and have probably made the same mistake without even noticing.
Good Day, I am working with a vesc boart which has an older firmware. i downloaded the new vesc tool 1.19, for linux. Everytime I connect it gives me an error of old firmware on board. Can i please get the older version(0.94) of the vesc tool.
Thank You.

Hi All,
I used to run my VESC 6 with a motor current of 120A to power my e-bike without any problems. Currently I'm experimenting with a oil cooled VESC 4.12 to use the same current. But for some reason I can't set the value for ''battery current max'' or ''motor current max'' higher than 100A when connected to the 4.12 in VESC Tool. It just sets itself back to 100A when I write the motor configuration.
Does anyone know if this is a safety feature? And if so, is there a workaround?
Hello,
Somebody have access to VESC version 1.13 for PC ?
My I have two of FLIPSKY FSESC 6.6, and the FW cannot upgrade after 3.57.
I download the 1.17. and i delete the 1.13. and i cannot restore now
Thank you

Hi Everyone!
I'm wondering why UART Mode only doesn't have any Safety Feature that comes with PPM Mode. Like Timeout Brake Current, Throttle Curve, mapping and so on.
UART is definately a more reliable communication type than PPM because of the CRC check.

Hi All,
Newbie here so be gentle !
I am configuring a FlipSky FSESC 6.6 and 772KV 4 pole motor with the VESC Tool. I am running in FOC mode using a 13.8V power supply.
I am unable to achieve more than 17,000 ERPM at 100% Duty.
I'm told the same motor has run at higher speeds using a different manufacturers controller in BLDC mode.
My question is...
Is the relationship between Duty and ERPM purely a function of KV or is there another scaling factor in play ?
