VESC Tool

Hello Guys,

Using FOC motor control, and selecting ADC or PPM for the input, everytime we select the positive ramping time (0.10sec or even 10.00s) it  does not changing the ramping time.

But, if we select negative ramping time and set it for like 2sec, then the positive ramping time goes along, meaning positive ramping is 2 sec.

Resuming, positive ramping time is only affected by the setting on the negative ramping time. 

Motor 350 W/36V Hoverbordmotor, connection sensless. Motor detection fails reason -11 (motor wizzard). Trying to start motor: status LED flashing red light 3 times, motor does't turn but VESC getting warm.

Hello. I connected my trolling motor 24v 840w to the Flipsky 4.20 mini for the purpose to be controlled with remote vx1.

I follow the wizard steps on VESC Tool in connecting the DC motor on pins A and C, but when using the remote the motor makes buzzing noise and no spinning.

I test the motor separate on a pwm controller and works both directions.

Maybe one of the my steps, is wrong ?! Somebody can help me with any tutorials???  Thanks in advance.

I downloaded the free version of the vesc tool and my computer didnt like it. Every time I open the EXE file to launch vesc tool it says system not responding and I have to close it.

After turning off my firewall completly and removing anivirus etc I still have the same issue.

I have repeated these steps with the PAID "20 EURO" version and STILL NO LUCK..

 Hello to you i have installed version vesc tool 1.25 and can not recognize usb port?  Do you have a solution ?

I have started to upgrade my e-scooter with an Vesc. 

The problem is that I broke the gas/Speed thumb chuck and I now want to use the break- Thumb chuck. I installed an Servo tester to convert the hall signal. Now in the Vesc tool the settings are wrong, because if I lift the thumb chuck the red bar is getting in the wrong direction, and the motor speed decreases.

Is there an way to invert the signal or chance the settings?

I have destroyed the mini USB connector on the VESC 75 300.I can use Android app, but i want more settings so i need VESC tool.  

Is it possible to connect windows with bluetooth to the VESC ? 

The non-backwards compatibility of VESC-Tool has been very frustrating because it seems to require a firmware update if I don't have an old VT binary or APK handy. And as the old embedded c++ saying goes:

If it aint broke, dont fix it.

good afternoon all hope you can help. 

currently new to the vesc scene after buying a board from trampa and still waiting for my lipo's to be delivered, I was going to look at the software that is used to setup the vesc,

But the problem is i was on it the other night looking at it and went to open it tonight the program will not open i am greeted by a white screen followed by not responding in brackets top left of the screen next to vesc tool. 

is there any recommend versions to run it as ? and possibly java to resolve this issue. 

Hello everyone,

This might be a stupid question, but I downloaded the compiled zip file for the vesc tool for linux, and I can not get it started on ubuntu. 

What type of file is it? a .deb installation file? an executable?

I could not find anywhere instructions (i assume is so basic that no one needed)
