Hoverboard motors not spinning when manually controlled, work when doing hall test etc.

Submitted by VK2EVA on Fri, 2020-12-25 22:01

Hey all,

New to VESC, I'm trying to use two hoverboard motors with my dual vesc 4.12, motor detection seems to work mostly, however the motors vibrate and don't spin. , my settings look comparable to others I've seen online, and the motors work fine on the stock motherboard.

But when I try and co tell them either with forward / back buttons in vesc tool, or with pwm signals from my RC remote, they just make a horrible noise and sort of vibrate.

Attached is a video of what manual signals sound like:

VESC kickback

Submitted by Farmer_Mayer on Tue, 2020-12-22 01:16

I bought a VESC for an electric skateboard with a 2450KV motor. I have used this on a standard ESC and it has worked fine. However, when switching to a VESC 4.12, I often get kickback when accelerating and the motor force stops the motor. I have tried adjusting the braking, does anyone else know what else I can do to try and prevent the kickback?

PID Speed Controller

I just bought a VESC 6 and have been playing around with it. I have been modifying the PID controller for a 3800KV motor for days. This is the best result I've got https://imgur.com/a/3JwVKyt

And I don't know if this is smooth enough or it needs more adjusting. Any idea to make it smoother guys?

Here is the motor configuration content (i don't how to upload a file here):

Hello Members! I need suggestions

Submitted by Scooter Evolution on Mon, 2020-12-07 16:33

Hello everyone. My name is Matt and I just joined your forum. Im looking to upgrade the 2in1 controller in my 72v Zero 11x scooter. I would like some suggestions on what model vesc to consider. Here are a few specs...

72v

32ah battery

Dual 1600w hub motors

The oem 45ax2 controller is problematic so If like to replace it with a better performing replacement. I'd like to do 50a to each motor. Throttle and even a screen would also be cool.

Any help and suggestions are appreciated!

Gokart project with Dual VESC 75V /100A

Submitted by spacewalker on Mon, 2020-12-07 10:08

Hi Guys

Spent long time  to finish my Gokart project ,  after some issue with  single VESC control by PWM  , I finally move to   Dual VESC  75V 100A

 hardware :

13S7P  with  balancer 60A , 2 x  48V 800W   wheel hub

So now , I use  CAN bus 125k   between front and  back  or my vehicke

On the front  when is a CAN bus  "transmitter"  I made a brake and accelerate paddle

on tge back - when is a CAN bus "receive" ,    is connect tto VESC and control what   front is sending to the rear
