I'm using a Flipsky FSESC4.20 to drive a bbs02 mid-drive ebike motor. I have the bluetooth module working ok. I'm using adc1 for throttle and servo for a brake/cutoff switch. I have the control type set to 'current no reverse brake button'.
This works as expected when connected to the vesc tool app over BT. But if I power up and don't connect the app then the motor will run away when I apply the throttle. It doesn't respond to releasing the throttle and only stops with the brake switch or if I connect to the app.
I've tried unplugging the bt module but that doesn't work. I've tried messing about with the regen currents with no consistent results.
What else can I try?
