VESC is not working in ADC mode

Submitted by asnamp on Thu, 2022-04-21 06:53

Hi

We have 2 vescs. I am trying to do ADC mode for 2 motors. With one controller one motor is running perfectly. I tried the second motor with the second controller, that motor was not running in adc , with the throttle also.  Now I'm planning to try with lisp scripting. Can anyone tell what is the solution for the above problem and also can anyone suggest the code for the above problem? And also because our motor is surface mounted one that Ld-Lq should be zero , for me the controller showing large value for that, Can you suggest the reason for that.

Hybrid Generator Project

Hello Everyone

Here is an update of my Hybrid Generator Project that uses VESC. I am attempting to find out how feasible a VESC is for AC to DC Active rectification (Regen Braking).
My current issue is that the control modes currently available don't necessarily mimic the behavior of a traditional Passive Rectifier (Full Bridge). I need to find a control method other than "Current No Reverse with Brake" that decreases torque proportionally to RPM for a given input value.

But here is a first test with the VESC setup:

Multiple VESCs on the same battery

Hi guys, I really appreciate the VESC forum for the help received in the past posts. Now I want to understand if it possible using Trampa hardware to build a system with multiple controller connected at the same battery. For the moment we want to use a 13s4p battery pack using Trampa BMS. Is it possible to connect at the BMS approximately five controller of different type for example: 2xVESC 75/300, 1x100/250 and 2xVESC 6 MkV and other devices that drain current from battery?

Motor detection failed

Hi I'm a student and I build my ESC using VESC schematics for my final project.

And when I tried to detect motor it fails with different errors, last time it was "flux linkage detection failed" .

When I tried to detect it as FOC it's spinning pretty nice and some times it gives me results.

But I don't know how to detect it as BLDC with hall sensors.

I tried different motors but I don't know what values to put when I try to detect it. (I, w, Duty-cycle).

Also my hall detection failed.

Control of 4000w bldc motor with hall effect sensors

I needed to know that whether we can control 48V 106A(peak current)  4000W BLDC motor with vesc. And if so then which of the vesc model will be suitable to control this much amount of power. Secondly the motor comes with pre build hall effect sensors how would we integrate these sensors into the existing circuit.

Motor compatibility (and power levels)

Hi everyone.

I'm in the early stages of making an e-motorcycle (full size, licensed, etc).  I really like the VESC controllers, particularly the open-source ethos.  As such, the design plan is to start with the assumption that the controller will be VESC based.

I have some related questions:
