Lanyard kill switch

Hi

building a trials bike using a vesc 75 300

Need to run a lanyard on it for safety and pass scrutineering at club meets. Would it be best to have it switch out throttle voltage or use the acual vesc power switch?

it has to work instanley, with no motor run on !

You can wire that into PPM or ADC2. If you use the latest BETA VESC-Tool, you will find a kill switch funktion in App Settings >> General. You can choose PPM low, PPM high, ADC 2 low, ADC2 high.

This is the BETA Vesc-Tool link: https://vesc-project.com/node/2859

Thanks

i used the ppm low, so it works with a regular ice lanyard by grounding when lanyard is pulled :-)

Hi folks,

first:

I tried to realize with adc2 low and high. But motor stop but when lanyard is put back it does not start again. Do I have to work with pullup resistor? I tried connection to groud but it doesn't work either.

second:

Is PPM low a better way? How to do this - what is the use cable (vesc input from PPM receiver ("servo")? )
