looking for some help with using a hub motor on my electric scooter.
its a new motor from a mini motors dualtron ultra ,rated at 2700w 60v max brought from a dealer on aliexpress.
paired it up to vesc fine all detections ok running it at 50v lipo . on the bench it runs nice and quiet but in use it has very low torque and will not draw the power commanded of it

I am part of a team, which is working on an autonomous RC-Car. Im trying to figure out, if we should use a brushed or brushless motor. The car we are using is the MIT-Racecar. It comes with an VESC 4.12 and a sensorless brushless motor. The problem we are facing is the control at start up and low speeds.
I was wondering if BLDC mode or FOC mode is better for motor startup in terms of least cogging and most torque. Which settings can be tweaked (in either mode) to reduce the cogging on startup and increase torque.

I recently bought a flipsky FSESC6.6 and when configuring with a hall sensor based throttle the software only registered the noise. It would alternate between 1.44-1.47 volts and have no response to the input of the ebike controller. I have tested the pins on the vesc and they are providing the 5V needed. I have also tested the ebike throttle and it returns a 0-5V range, also tested this with the AnalogReadSerial Function in arduino. Any help is appreciated.

I tried to get further with my bike motor and the VESC I'm planning to use.
The motor (MagicPie3) is a 63Slots:54poles +latching HALLs and is quite a heavy weight with 9kg Hub only (12kg complete). The VESC is a standard 4.12; Testing PSU is a EA-PSI 9080-120 (80V/120A max.).
The autodetect of HALL works without interfering, Motor in FOC is as I'd say OK (eRPM down to 150 because of the weight I guess), blockcommutation is reporting an error about failing when tried.

I am building a boat trolling motor (VESC 4.12 Maytech, SK3 6374 192kV, starter gearbox, Pb accus) and I would like to control speed with a "e-boat" indexed throttle. I thought about using a rotary switch like https://uk.farnell.com/lorlin/ck1049/switch-1-pole-12-pos-0-15a-250v/dp/... with various resistors. In the ADC Mapping I would set the center so there would be 8 forward and 3 reverse.
we are getting the encoder readings from the vesc using basic arduino but the issue is that the readings or anaolg value for revolution is varying in two directions..i.e for example if the motor is rotating right for 10sec the encoder reading is 200 and if the motor is rotating left for 10sec the encoder reading is somwere around 300 or 100 .its is keep on varying but not a constant value.What is actual problem??? Can anyone solve this out??
