Can not adjust the RPM on my 1350 w motor

Hi ! Call from Norway ; Has got hold of two 1350 W Brushless motors and battery pack from a discarded Ninebot Lite. I want to use one of the motors in an ATV (for children) Has taken out the engines of the Ninebot and connected it to a FSESC 4.12 from Flipsky, and used a Servo tester as receiver. Has gone through the Setup Wizard for the motor, but the motor run only at a fixed speed regardles of how i turn the knob on the receiver ( I have to turn it 1/4 turn to start).. Of course, want to be able to vary the speed of it for my purpose. Can anyone help with the problem?

Hi Arne of Norway

what have you set up as Motor (BC or FOC) and what as Input control (APP) and with what settings? A bit more help with what you are using might help understand what setup you have.

Cheers

Sam

Hi Sam ! Thank you for trying to help me! ( I am quite new to this !) .

Settings: I folowed a Video on Youtube, and this guy had a skateboard. I  set ( as he) the motor to FOC.

The App Inputt I sett to PPM. I have this small blue CCPM Servo Consistency Master, with a potensiometer and selection for Manual, Neutral and Auto

I must also inform you that there is a hall cable on the motor but with 7 leads (insted of 6 That the VESC has conection for). So i the motor setup I set it to "No hall cable".

Hope you can help me further !

The Vesc is current controlled. You can't test things with wheels in the air. Also note that you need to do throttle mapping in the input setup wizard.

You need to set the app for PPM control to be Duty Cycle mode if you want to have the speed proportional to your input, running the Input Wizard is your best bet.
