Increasing low rpm torque in FOC mode

Hi!

Are there any tricks to improve low RPM torque in FOC mode? It seems that very low speed torque is better in BLDC mode than it is in FOC. I'm using hall sensors. What parameters should I try to tweak?

I'm using my custom HW with 200A motor current so maybe there are some parameters that need scaling from their defaults?

Thanks!

Hi

I'm far below your specs, but I di experience a change in low RPM when changing the switching frequency. With my VESC4.12 I did change from 20kHz for testing to 30 and then 40kHz and did "feel" a difference. You will have to cool your FETs and drivers as the frequency is squared in the switching losses. VESC6 could go even higher afaik. I downgraded to 20kHz after all, as the start torque is not really important (on a bike).

Cheers
