I know that it is possible to connect any DC source to minus battery and plus to any motor phase. Then it is possible to use controller as CC CV regulator using motor inductance to control current.

I have some custom hardware built off the VESC4 design and it works very well other than one issue - the regenerative braking.

I tought about other usefull stuff that could be possible with a high power controller.
What about DC or AC welding? Would that work if the software existed?
Another nice thing would be a high power regulated DC power supply, it probably just needs some smoothing at the output.
What do you think?
