Video Live Streams of a dual drive based on stm32f429

Submitted by mkschreder on Sat, 2019-03-30 16:25

Hello,

Without making it sound like a spam post I would like to tell you guys about a video series that I have been recording live which go in detail through a motor drive build based on similar hardware to the vesc but I implement dual drive on a single chip and much more. I think this would be a rich resource to any diy enthusiast that likes to build stuff themselves and wants to go past the simplest project to something more advanced.

Can not update firmware on FLIPSKY 4.12, still af 3.4 (att. newbie)

On my first encounter with VESC

I have acquired a Flipsky FSESC (VESC) 4.12 with firmware 3.40: https://flipsky.net/products/torque-esc-vesc-%C2%AE-bldc-electronic-spee...

On first setup I connect it to Motor, hall sensors and battery, then PC (Win) (EDIT: I'm powering the VWSC from a e-bike battery, full loaded 53V, I will not power on by USB as stated in some threads)

Hi everybody,

I'm building a controller for my car with Marcos open source Vesc, https://github.com/paltatech/VESC-controller.
I ordered PCBs from a service but minimum quantity was 5.
I need two of them so I have 3 left.
The version is 0.2.

HI,

After having used 4 different 4'12hw vesc I bought a flipsky v6.6

I know the problem sound common but I didn't find any answer to my problem.

When I power the ESC light turns green but impossible to connect it to the vesctools using the usb port.

The com mport don't appear on Windows when I plug the ESC...

I've tried 3 different cables and 3 computer with the same conclusion.(all the three computer have been used with no issues on my 4.12hw)

Custom PCB based on 6.4

Submitted by CTSchorsch on Wed, 2019-02-20 11:49

Dear all,

i build a custom PCB based on Benjamin's schematic v6.4 in ring shape.
It is used in a DIY diver propulsion vehicle. I did small modifications (remove NRF, change some parts) and add a custom app to the firmware to use hall sensors for trigger and speed-adjustment.

If this is interesting for you, feel free to have a look at https://github.com/CTSchorsch/gsvesc and https://github.com/CTSchorsch/bldc

Custom Hardware - FET shoot-through problem - oscilloscope captures

Hi all, I'm new to VESC project and have only worked with trapezoidal BLDC control before (no FOC)

I am testing a VESC custom design and it draws a very irregular current spike at the PWM frequency (20kHz).  The worst case is when the motor is at 0RPM but the spikes are still visible when the motor is spinning.  This is the input current measured over a 0.0025Ohm resistor with the motor stopped:
