If the PPM line is completely destroyed, is it possible to program another one?

Hi! My PPM line is destroyed, getting to the place where you could go to the line to solder the contact is a problem, since the board is covered with a thick layer of epoxy resin. Therefore, a question arose for the developers: is it possible to assign a ppm line to some other output, I have them all free) Thank you

How to connect 5 Pin Hall Sensor to 6 Pin Hall Sensor Connector

Submitted by tinytuna38 on Thu, 2024-06-20 20:56

I have bought a 6374 BLDC Motor with a 5 Pin hall sensor but my vesc has a 6 Pin connector. In the datasheet of the vesc (makerbase vesc) i found out, the black and red cable are for +5v and ground. And then Cables (yellow, blue, green) for H1, H2, H3. The last white cable ist used AS an temperature sensor cable. The datasheet of my motor is not very detailed, because it is a non brand motor. It has a black, red, orange, white and yellow wire connected to its 5 Pin JST. So now my question...

Motor stuttering at lower duty cycle %

Submitted by trueskyaiways on Thu, 2024-06-20 05:42

Hi there,

I am facing several problems with VESC setting up with a large drone motor.

My team wanted to utilize VESC's FOC function to increase motor efficiency.

If you can share us any idea, that would help us tremendeusly.

Problem 1

When we attempt to start the motor with duty cycle below 35%, motor would not start.

Below 35%, It stutters for a few seconds, and stops.

The motor starts to rotate when we give duty cycle around 40%.

Help, if I accelerate from 0 km/h, I burn out the MOSFETs

Hello everyone and thanks in advance to anyone who helps me. I have a mini bike with two motors, one rear and one front. I am using two separate Spinted VESC Ubox Controllers in aluminum, 85V 250A based on VESC, with a 72V nominal battery and a discharge rate of 450A, and two 6000W motors. Everything works perfectly, even when setting many amps on the motors. I spent a day on the track, going very fast, and had no issues with the motor or VESC temperature.

Adafruit Feather nRF52 <> VESC BLE?

Submitted by NoeI on Mon, 2024-06-17 22:57

I've been playing with an Adafruit Feather nRF52 (nRF52832) in combination with my BMS and its BLE, and reading the BMS data is working great.

Can something like this be done with the VESC and a BLE dongle?
I know that I can read the data through UART and CAN, but I would like to do it wireless, without adding another "Arduino" to the VESC (kind of like the VESC tool, but for Arduino).

Any info on this would be appreciated.
