3 sensorless motors connected with belt

So, I have 3 sensorless motors with separate FSESC's that I'm wanting to connect with some sort of belt. Could be a cogged belt or V belt. Is there a mode that would allow me to do this? I have them individually set up with FOC, but I know that would not work. When I set them to BLDC, sometimes they run backwards and that can't happen. Just wondering if there's an option that would allow that to work. Thanks!

HFI optimisation with increase in switching frequency

Hi there,

I have optimised HFI parameters for a 12 pole 14 magnet BLDC motor at a switching frequency of 25kHz, but when I increase the switching frequency to 30 kHz I can't seem to find any parameters that enable the HFI to run smoothly, is there another parameter I need to modify?

NRF on VESC

Hi,

I would like to log some data to my phone while running, and saw this could be possible through the phone app but the VESC had to have NRF.

I have seen the NRF modules, but my problem is I'm already using the COMM port for the controller antenna, so I would like to solve it some other way if possible.

I have an older VESC that I'm not entirely sure of the exact specification. It says VESC SIX on and has a small v6.41 in the corner, but googling this I couldn't find much. I assume it does not have NRF built in?

Current limit problem

Hi,

I'm quite new to this and I assume I'm just making some stupid miss, but really haven't been able to understand what it is.

I have a power supply that can give 30V/10A connected to the VESC and a motor controlled by it. I set the battery current limit to 10A, but it will not draw more than around 3A.

I set the battery current limit to 2A, then it stops at 2A.

Overcurrent fault

I am using a flipsky dualfsesc 6.6, 12s 12c lipo (2 6s in series), on an electric mountainboard. I've been having a few symptoms that I believe may be due to an overcurrent fault, I'll start with the symptoms while riding, when motors are under load there seems to be a great deal less torque than there should be with 70 phase/motor amps per side, this issue is only while accelerating rather than braking, still recieving full brake torque.

Motor parameters constantly changing.

Hi all, 

I'm wondering what is a normal amount for motor parameters (particularly coil resistance) to change on each detection. If I repeatedly click the detect parameter button on the FOC page, the coil resistance may change from 85 to 87 mOhms, which I'm guessing is normal, however occasionally it may jump up to say 95, or even as high as 120. I'm pretty sure it isn't a temperature thing, because it isn't like it happens right after I've been running the motor a lot. Might I have a hardware problem with my Vesc or motor, or is this just normal?
