Windows 10 free tool wont open...

Hi,

I'm not sure if my installation of the free version (2.6) went normally. It did not create a folder under /program files, the .exe stayed where it was launched from originally, so instead of searching for it every time in my download folder where I have a zillion junk files, so I moved it to my desktop and didn't get particularly worried about that, just brushed my worries away for the time being. It launched itself normally for a while without going through the questions you get at the first startup (no idea where it has saved the information collected but anyhow..).

Since yesterday, as I would like to finalize to setup my esk8 as I now have all the parts I need, the tool launch itself, I can see it running in the task manager, and can see the icon in the task bar, no window is appearing at all, instead when I try to switch to it with an alt+tab, there is a white mini window icon and nothing at all comes to the fore screen. I have obviously restarted windows, and since, as I said before, to me the installation was hard to understand, I cannot uninstall it from windows settings as it just won't appear in there. I've also done a manual search for the word VESC on both program files and program files x86 and nothing came up at all.

Searched up on youtube and google search for clues but nothing was returned either, otherwise I missed whatever information would be out there to resolve this problem.

A bit bummed right now as I'm unable to setup anything. Lucky I have another laptop but it's the the one designed for that, so if anyone has any idea of what I can do further, it would be much appreciated.

Pretty sure it'd be an easy fix, but I kind of ran out of inspiration on that.

Many thanks for reading.

Here's some input on that, although I think you have a different issue with displaying the window than I did. I use a secondary monitor on my laptop, and what would happen is the program would open and display itself where the second screen would be, even though the laptop had no other monitor connected at the time of launching. Even my laptop knew it was in single screen mode and it still launched the program as if it wasn't. Connect a second screen or select your PC to display the second screen in the "Project" selection on the taskbar notifications.

Using Windows 10 here.
