I am so lost!!! I am totally new to VESC. I have no computer background. I am trying to build a dual motor for my fishing boat. I am using Maytech Foil Boost 100A V6 Speed Controller for SUP/Foil/Esk8/Robots. I have a bluetooth receiver MTSRR1905 for MTSKR1905WF remote. I have 6374 150kv sensorless motor.
I have everything connected and powered up. I have paired my remote with my bluetooth receiver. I can run the motors forward, but not in reverse. I should be able to make some adjustments using the VESC Tool and following Maytech FAQ and blog info.
I can't connect to the VESC Tool! I have a Macbook Air and an old Dell laptop with Windows 10. I have downloaded the free VESC tool for both. When I try to connect I get error messages of "could not read firmware version. make sure the selected port belongs to the VESC" or "make sure the usb cable is plugged in and the VESC is powered" for either computer. I have tried different cables. Different ports. I have searched and searched for solutions, but nothing works. Please help! Make it as dumbed down as possible.
I can't even seem to attach a picture of my setup here. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Just need to get setup once and I should be finished. Thank you!!
