VESC Original Hardware

Anyone managed to get these working? So I have 3 of these and I can’t get the Android Vesc Tool to recognize it as being a valid Vesc item. It says it’s beta (6.0 Beta 53) and the vesc tool is not beta so I should update the firmware urgently, plus it won’t let me setup the motor/wizard. It stops at Detection. 'All vescs must have the latest firmware to perform this function'. Then, 'Could not read motor configuration'.

Hello vesc team,

I'm building an ebike with the 100/250 esc. I have an issue where at about 82% duty cycle will start to lose sync with the motor and if pushed beyond 82% will current fault. This testing is done with the motor freewheeling.

The Setup:

    20s battery pack
    GMAC hub motor
    FOC mode running at 30Khz
    5A motor current and 20A max current for testing

Has anyone worked with the Dallas DS18B20 Temperature Sensor? It is installed in the Motors we have. Do some of the pre-defined settings support this sensor?

Hi, I saw an image of VESC HD60 Single version on trampaboards.com VESC page few weeks ago.

Now I only see HD60 TWIN version of it.

I know VESC6 75V version came out, but need smaller form factor of HD60 single.

So I am just wondering if there is any plan to sell HD60 single version.

I´m running a: https://spintend.com/products/75v-100a-single-esc-single-ubox-based-on-vesc for use in my 1000w ebike. I´ve spiliced the wire in a way to run both the bluetooth- and the adc- module from adc socket.

I have a VESC 6 mk5
During the installation test, the 12v was mistakenly connected to the encoder socket
Then the computer can't connect to VESC
Where is the problem in this situation? How can I fix it?

Has anyone a nice solution to connect the 3by3 phase outputs coming out of a VESC 100/200 to the 3 phases of a motor? Except using a lot of solder?

Dear VESC supporter and team,

I've bought two VESC 100V/250A, both show on the same motor the same behaviour. I believe it has something to do with my settings:

Goal: Test the Motor Hemotec 135.20; (135kV; 28pole) with props to reach ~3600rpm (3600*14=50400eRPM).

Setup: original setup 2(2x5s in series, each 5000Ah) LiIon Battery each connected to one VESC. Tried also: 3x(2x5s) for a single VESC; sharing ground

Description: FOC Setup works fine. 158A max current for the motor.

I would like to know if it is dangerous to rotate externally the motor (for example during downhill) at a speed greater than battery voltage * KV, which will leads to more than 100% duty cycle ?
