VESC 75 300 R2 - correct battery conection

Submitted by SafrdA on Fri, 2021-04-30 13:13

Good day,

right at the beginning I have to say that I am completely new in this issue, I only have some theoretical knowledge, I am embarking on the first construction. But first I always try to solve the problem myself, but now I don't know what to do, I'm in a dead end, so please ask for advice. I have this version of VESC 75 300 R2.

HD60 CAN Resistor

Submitted by BEWA on Wed, 2021-04-21 14:56

Hi,

I want to connect 4 HD60 together to run 8 Motors. I have a external controller to controll the VESC's. I have teted it with one and it works fine.

So I have 8 VESC to connect per CANbus.

I have measured that each has a 120 Ohm resistor.

I do not know if this will work. Is there a possibility to switch off the Resistors? Or maybe unsold it.

thanks

BEWA

VESC 75/300 ABS_OVER_CURRENT

Submitted by tecnico.solarboat on Mon, 2021-04-12 21:29

Hi!

We trying to make a motor dyno with two motors and two VESCs 75/300 but the VESC that is controlling the motor is giving ABS_OVER_CURRENT error when a certain torque is reached. The problem is that from the logged data the current values are no where near the maximum current that we have set.

Attached is the logged data, the MC configuration and the APP configurations.

No power or Comm via USB

Submitted by swedan on Fri, 2021-04-09 14:33

Hi,

After a motor wizard on my Trampa VESC Six+ via Vesc tool the USB stopped working and the controller no longer powers up via USB.

However when connecting a ST link or battery I get a blue Led and a red led that flashes once every 6 seconds.

Tried to flash via ST link but without any fix for the USB connectivety.

is there a usb chip that might need replacement?

Bringup, pinouts, general manual... where to find?

I just received my VESC 100/250. Beautiful piece of kit, but so far I've found nothing on how to actually use the board. I've got a lot of experience with PMSMS/BLDC, going as far as to develop them and even teach about them at uni, so the problem is purely the mechanics of an unfamiliar layout and firmware. https://trampaboards.com/resources/manuals/225.pdf is only the briefest of overviews, and does not go so far as to tell me what connections are mandatory (ON/OFF?)

VESC Connections

Im replacing the ESC on my Ninebot G30 Max with a 75V VESC.  I am confused about the connections.  How do I know which Hall sensor wire go with each phase?  Im assuming H1 is Phase A, H2 is B and H3 is C.  I have a brake light that flickers when you squueze brake and stays on when scooter is on.  Where does that get connected to?  Its a 2 wire.  Throttle connects to PPM/5V/GND.  What about the hand break which is also a 3 wire?  How does that get connected?  Front led headlight connects to 5V output.  Which do I use for tha? And my addon LED goes to 12V output.
