I am building a scooter from the hover board motor. I have noticed that when applying the full throttle the motor cuts off after cca 0.5sec. After releasing the throttle and pushing it again, it works well until I apply the full throttle again. This happens both with and without the load (wheel spins freely when scooter placed on a table).
I bought remote controller that displays speed (Flipsky Remote VX4) with VESC TX/RX receiver.
And I want to display motor speed, using Arduino as ESC.
So I searched How to make status packet(Including speed, cuttent, temp etc.)
But I couldn't find one.
There were only codes for Instructions packets, not status packet.
This is what I want to do:
make and send status packet(speed, current) from Arduino through TX/RX Serial
Can I get code or protocol/packet for status message?

We're currently having a problem integrating encoders to determine the rotation angle of the motor shaft. Initially our F1/10 car was configured in sensorless mode at higher RPMs but the brushless motor experienced substantial motor cogging from standstill so we obtained a magnetic encoder and a quadrature encoder to improve low speed performance and enable smooth acceleration.
I am a beginner with VESC. I have been trying for a few days to operate a VESC and an 800kv 4250 motor with an e-bike grip throttle, but cogging occurs and it does not function properly. I completed the motor and input setup based on information on the Internet. As the motor ran correctly during Motor Detection, I believe there are no problems with the motor and VESC. I suspect that the ADC setup is not correct. However, I could not find a solution to this problem. If you know how to solve this problem, please let me know.
Hi I am looking at the feasibility of driving BLDC motors (probably 4) from a 24v 150A alternator (around 3kw total) - the diesel motor driving the generator has a simple mechanical governor
My electronics knowledge is not strong and I am looking for guidance as to whether this is feasible. Can the VESC software / hardware really only run from a battery or can it be run directly (and or with a battery in the circuit) from an alternator

I am using 4x hub-motor wheels with hall-sensors. I setup using the VESC-tool and its working OK'ish using the "Duty Cycle" control.
However, i am looking for a control type for direct RPM control. Which control type should i choose?
