acceleration speed and temp noise

have done the first test runs on a 4kw kick scooter i built so far very impressed with the vesc 6 .

two questions. how do i improve the acceleration speed ? motor is set to 90amps ,but does not draw more than 50amps

second question, there is a lot of noise showing on the graphs for the motor temp, i am not using a sensor , do i need to pull the temp pin hi or low ? to stop the noise.

thanks

You might be exceeding your battery max current. Or your motor settings are not correct. Very strange things happen when settings are wrong for FOC.

The motor temperature is normally negative when you don't have anything connected. It won't affect operation unless it goes above your set limits (default 80oC).

What kind of input are you using, and did you do throttle mapping? Does it go higher if you stall the motor and command 90A from VESC Tool?

I have done throttle mapping, with hall type throttle.

If I stall motor it will go no higher 60amps.

Tests so far have only been done with 6s lipo

Later I will try 12s and see if that makes any difference.

well all is good now, fresh setup, and running on 12s battery and scooter goes like a rocket.

hit max set  amps and 3300w on acelleration and 27mph top speed which is more than enough.

many thanks benjamin for producing a great speed controller with so many features
