controlling 2 motors for two directions each

Submitted by ori harush on Mon, 2022-06-06 07:17

hi

I am making a wheelchair extension that helps move in rough terrains, for that I am using 2 BLDC motors (FLIPSKY 6384) and dual mini FSESC6.7 PRO.

The extension is track based (like a tank), so if I am at full stop and I am turning right I need the left motor to spin forwards and the right motor to spin backwards. It means that I need to be able to drive forwards and backwards and control each motor.

Is it possible?

How can I do that?

Thanks for the help

VESC as generator - settings confirmation

Submitted by justinlsquire on Mon, 2022-06-06 02:44

I have a BLDC motor coupled to a 2-stroke engine to use as a generator, and I want to use the VESC to perform active rectification of the power to the DC bus.

I know that I can change the settings for "Motor Current Max Brake" and "Battery Current Max Regen" but I was hoping somebody could give some advice about my strategy here.

I need clarification on connecting a Magura 0-5k Ohm Pot Twist Throttle to Tronic 250 VESC.

Hello,

So I've read multiple forums (though very few posts...) in regards to this throttle ' Magura Twist Grip Throttle 0-5K Ohm ' - Here's the details:

The Magura Twist Throttle has a 0-5k ohm output for Electric Scooter / Bicycle.

Segway tuning for a project using 2 VESC based ESCs

Hi all, I am attempting to use two VESCs and two hoverboard motors (the standard 6.5in 30 pole ones) to make a segway type robot similar to the telepresence robot by Double Robotics. Specifically I am using one HW4.12 ESC and one Flipsky 75100, paired with AMT102-V encoders on each wheel. I originally tried to just use the built in hall sensors, but couldn't get low enough speeds no matter what method I tried to use, encoders allow me to get down to around 200ERPM with +/-10ERPM after PID tuning.

Two Vesc6 MKV twin arrays ESC's - BMS CAN BUS connectivity

Hello all,

Newly introduced to the VESC project and everything ESC and apologies (due to no search feature in the forum) and if the question has been raised in the past?

Is there any possibility of connecting a CAN BUS from a BMS into a twin array VESC6 MKV.  As both CAN BUS connections are already utilized by pairing the two ESC's, is there any work around such as a CAN BUS HUB,  recommendations to network the extra BMS CAN.
