Using 2x Rion Tronic 250/ Focer3.1 esc over CAN for a scooter project. Traction control enabled (for the front wheel, set to 2000erpm diff). It works perfectly fine unless the surface is very slippery. If the surface is very slippery and the throttle gets applied too fast, both ESC will cut power to zero producing a massive power spike in the rear wheel ESC resulting in a massive explosion. Any idea why the power cut is happening? Unfortunately did not get log files. The battery pack was a 20s6p Molicel P42A.

Hello, I am tuning my HFI parameters for the Start voltage specifically, and I noticed that up to a certain point the FFT Phase Bin2 values stop improving once Start Voltage reaches a certain point.

I am running a 5010 360kV pancake drone motor at around 11.3v. Ths motor has very good Lq-Ld (around 50% of total inductance at 20% duty)

Is there any way to predict what voltage a particular motor would require for it to saturate based on known FOC detection params?

Hi. I am experiencing a somewhat strange problem. I am tuning a T-motor multicopter motor for a VTOL UAV, and I am connecting it to the system using DRONECAN (UAVCAN). I have tried tuning the motor using both BLDC and FOC, and both give me a different set of problems.

I have a two motor setup on a four wheel cargo bike. two wheel driven. I have two controllers  100-250 from Trampaboards.

set up:  two thumb controls. one for fwd speed, the other is regen.I have been unsuccessful to have reverse to work and also leave these two thumb controls at same time.

If I remove the reg from the set up I can get a smooth fwd and also reverse.

Has anyone done this successfully. ?

Hi knowledageable people. I'm very very new to this and trying to get my head around a plan for a DIY electric outboard, using a flipsky 75100, and incorporating a standard ebike throttle, a reverse button, a cruise button, a killswitch, and a uart bluetooth dongle for app control.

My plan is to use ADC1 for the throttle, and hopefully connect the bluetooth dongle to UART 2 to keep it out of the way. 

Hey guys looking for some help here. I have a thumb wheel throttle that does Regen braking when rolled backwards that I normally setup current no reverse brake center. I also want my hand brake levers that have a motor cutoff switch to work . Is it possible to do this? I don't want them tied to Regen or anything just to cut the motor when opened , as they are normally closed . In addition is it possible to power and turn on the brake lights with the vesc?

Hey, I am sure you get this question alot but i cant seem to figure it out myself.

I have 2 VESC's hooked up via CAN and am trying to get smart reverse working like it was a couple days ago. One day I changed the motor current settings I think and now smart reverse doesn't work.

I've posted here a few times to get zero responses -- ever.  While some new posts that are just a couple of hours old will quickly get at least one response.

Any tips or guides on setting up a 100/250 for a large BLDC motor such as the ME1616?  For use in a full-size electric motorcycle.
