I don't know if you figured it out yet but you can use ther servo/pwm input and in the app setting -> ADC -> General -> Control Type => use one of the options with reverse button.
This works for me with the vesc 6, hope you can use it if you hadn't already figured it out.
Hi, I could change the direction to reverse by connecting RX pin to GND when the setting is ADC. However if I change the setting to ADC & UART the direction does not change. Anyone knows how to use reverse button with ADC & UART.
I'm about to try this, I was going ot disconnect my Bluetooth when using reverse but going to wire it in parallel so can keep the bluetooth plug. I'm also like to limit my speed in Reverse Only.. :)

Is it not possible to use Reverse on the VESC when also using a BT module ?
Bluetooth is the main reason to use VESC, but I`m helpless without Reverse.
