I just want to share with you my project, which I have been doing for fun for the second year in which several controllers were burned, such as: double vesc 75100 spinted - 2 pieces, one is alive and it controls the tower: rotation and up and down, makerbase 75200 - 2 pieces for each axis, I liked their power, alas, they lasted for a week. And at the moment there are 2 75200 controllers from flipsky, I was advised to immediately fill them with epoxy, I did so and for almost a year they have been in hard work almost every day)

VESC limits power after 15 sec

Submitted by Blcd on Wed, 2024-05-01 23:11

Hello!

I have just finished making my second e-foil. But now I have encountered one problem, where I need your help.
When I give full throttle, it takes about 15 seconds before the motor makes a strange sound, and I lose a lot of power. If I let the throttle down to about 70%, the sound is gone. I have to let the board sit for about a minute before I have full power again.
I gradually lose power from when the VESC is about 40c, and it gets worse the hotter it gets. I have set the temperature cutoff to start at 80c and end at 90c.

VESC Flipsky 75100 used in Ryobi RM480e electric riding mower.

I own a Ryobi 480e riding mower  and admin a Facebook group for these 48v mowers. The drive controller on these mowers has a moderate failure rate.  I'm trying the Flipsky vesc.

What a learning curve, I've never used any programmable controller before. I set up the high torque low speed 1500w motor. The axle has a gear ratio of 10.4 to 1. I tried it with and without hall sensor with no difference so stayed with non sensored for simplicity.

Brose motor + flipsky pro v2

Hi everyone, I'm working on a brose motor , in FOC mode  don't have a problem for identify de parameters of motor, because it's automatic, but I don't know what type of inneruner motor have to choose, it's important? 750gr or 2000gr.

The BMS it's a daily 13s 50Ampers.

And de pulleys size , it's only for de velocity or it's relevant for the motor running?

In few moments I put photos from vesc tool

VESC for rocketry project

Submitted by Chalu on Sun, 2023-07-09 19:48

Hi everyone !

We are an association that make and launch rocket every year (https://cles-facil.asso-insa-lyon.fr/).  For this year we choose to do a reacting wheel as experiment for our rocket.

I was personnaly in charge of the electronic parts and currently discovering vesc tool to save the experiment part.

We use that motor :

Dual Vesc with Mid Drive and Hub Motor on the same wheel.

I'm using two vesc (connected via can bus) to power an ebike with a mid drive motor and a rear hub motor (direct drive). Currently the set up is working mostly as expected but the full potential of the system is still being left on the table.

reverse trike for disabled

Submitted by Nicolas Durandet on Sun, 2023-06-18 11:37

Hi

I'm from France, I need help to design a reverse trike for disabled people including myself.

I have general idea of the vehicle architecture but I need support to make sure the assembly is up to requirements.

My first question would be, can I use a solar station to power a vesc with a dc power unit? I know this may sound stupid but please consider leaving your opinion and ideas.
