 So, Long story short.  I just updated my firmware from around the end of June to the newest.  everything went smoothly except when I redid the motor calibration it gave me the R = 0 error,  reconfigured and tried again and it worked.   Took my board out for the day as I needed to go to uni and about half way there I loose connection for a split second - I think nothing of it as its probably just the remote and continue to uni ( It is sunny out and I am riding quite slowly as its extra busy today ).

i managed to "destroy" the bootloader on my focbox trough trying to upload a booloader from vesc-tool.

(cause i was just hussling and not reading the warning ).

is there any way to repair the original focbox bootloader ?

I soldered my own VESC 4.10... Will this be possible with the new VESC 6?

Is there a BOM and Kikad drawings somewhere?

Will the VESC 6 get any cheeper? Because it is quite high end right now...

By the way - the VESC is one of the coolest products on the planet at this moment... It's absolutely amazingly crazy...

Should we stop using the Vedder forums?
Or keep using them for old FW?
Maybe they should be moved here.

Recognized a "strange" behavior with my Dual Setup...

By setting up the AS5047 Encoders the last days i observed that,

with equal MC values the Slave Vesc is not pulling the Amps that the Master does....

The strange sound by the slave was only it slips out of my hand... on the end its the master again with 140A

Here is a build of a really powerful VESC. It uses 600V 600A IGBTs for the powerstage and its compatible with the latest vesc 6 firmware and vesc tool.

Need some advice to hook up an additional switch to my excisting Setup to activate regenerative Braking.

Would like to connect an switch OR reedcontact to my Magura Hydraulic Brake so that if i touch the brake can use the thump throttle for motor brake.

Actually connected is a 3-Wire Thump throttle To COMM with VCC-GND-ADC1

The switch is actually also 3-Wire...

I just updated my 4.12 VESC to the new firmware to use the new VESC-tool with it. It works great.

However, on the old firware, i had an arduino getting data over the UART port through RollingGecko's VescUartControl library. As soon as i updated the VESC and reconfigured everything, i was no longer able to get data over the UART port. Is anyone aware of any changes that may cause this in the newer firmware? Perhaps a change in how the VESC sends data or a change in commands on the newer firmware.

I just upgraded to new fw from 2.18. My HW version is 4.12.
