Ideal Thermistor/Temperature Sensor?

Hello everyone,

I am making some sensor boards and was wondering what the best thermistor or temperature sensor is for use with the VESC 6 HW. I remember seeing a schematic for the VESC 4 that had a 10k thermistor and a 10k resistor as a voltage divider. Is this the best for VESC 6 as well?

Thanks!

A 10K thermistor should be fine. There is a setting now to adjust the beta value, but the resistance has to be 10k.

Yes you can easily find glass body NTC very rugged and easy to glue on a motor for example.

Farnell NTCLG100E2103JB   ref. 116-4822 works well.

You just have to change beta to 3977.

Have a Nice Day.
