Disable throttle while braking

Hi guys. I'm new here :-)

I'm about to integrate a VESC in my scooter conversion project.

For material protection and safety, I'd like to disable the throttle while braking.
Is there such an interface and function in the VESC 100/250?

Thx for your help.

If using adc input for throttle you should place a resistor between the adc in. And gnd, and a special mo's switch opto coupler between throttle and vesc.

When braked throttle srpetated from circuit

I had a similar idea...
Do resistor + opto coupler affect the adc signal of the throttle?

And are there other solutions for disabling throttle here in the forum? :-)

a special mo's switch opto coupler does not affect adc.

another way to use kill switch input, just look at the related help within vesc tool.(app.set.general)

Thx! This were the answers I was hoping for.

a special mo's switch opto coupler does not affect adc.

Could you give me a link for such a spechial mo's switch? I have only experience with "normal" optocouplers..

Are you saying to place the transistor of the opto-coupler between throttle sig and vesc adc pin, then maybe resistor from vesc adc to vesc ground, what would be a ball park resistor value? 10k, 100k, 500k?
I have some pc123 opto I used one as on/off to my vesc, pin 1 would be throttle sig and pin 2 adc, pin 4 is led cathode (ground side) and pin 3 led voltage, use a resistor/led calculator to work out the value for your switch values.
opto led would need to be on for throttle to work, my brakes send 12v when braking so I would to wire my led with its anode to +12v and cathode to my brake light line with the led resistor
