I got a bit bored during the lockdown and ended up designing a tiny VESC.
Will be doing two versions, 2-6S and 2-12S (the 12S version will be a bit more expensive as the fets are much more expensive)
These are the specs for the 6S version:
- Dimensions: 34.2 x 17.9 x 5.5mm without wires
- Weight (with wires): ~19g
- Programmable with VESC tool using a normal microUSB cable
- Voltage: 2-6S (4v - 27v)
- 5v BEC up to 400mA
- Brushless or Brushed motors
- 23A cont, no airflow
- 35A cont, light airflow
- 50A burst
- 3 phase shunts for HFI
Here it is next to some other parts for a size comparison. The ESC above it is a BLHeli_32 board.
HFI lets you do cool things like this!
Here is a playlist of tests so far:

This is amazing! Is it VESC4 based or VESC6 based? (I dont really know much about electronics)
It's based on VESC6
Did you have the Firmware somewhere on Git?
It's not in the VESC release folder.
Or....which Config did u use?
Do you plan to offer a UART interface?
Hello,
i get my A50S today.. very little VESC ;-) very nice.
I have some little setup problems... i have got an 3530-12 very little Outruner.
Autodetect the outruner runs okay.
If i then hit the right key... some times it runs okay, some times it stuple and the current went up to the maximun for 1s.
Every time i only hit the right key...
I have change many parameters, but nothing seems to help.
Pleas help me! What can / Must i do?
Have a nice day
Martin
The newest version with aluminum housing looks really nice. Unfortunately it got rejected by German customs due to a missing CE certficate, so I couldn't try it out. I'm a bit sad about that.
