Question about FOC Wizard

I'am using this outrunner motor:

Motor

When using Vesc FOC Wizard, it asks for motor weight : Medium outrunner ~750g  or Large Outrunner ~2000g

Which could be the best for my motor that is 1690g ?

I have used Medium Outrunner and seems running pretty good but low torque ability.

I would like to know if it could perform better if I choose "large outrunner". The software warns about the risk of destroy the motor choosing  too bigger motor so I am not confident to test this.

Any suggestion ?

Thank you

Massimo

It seems like the only thing the motor size affects is the detection current (via the power loss parameter) and the open loop eRPMs. It definitely helps to set those via the motor size parameter if you absolutely have no clue what manually set parameters should be. I found, however, it's almost always better to set your detection parameters manually for best results and skip the wizard. Using the separate steps for the R/L and Flux detection allows you to set safe parameters for each specific motor and catch problems at every step if they arise.

Ok Thanks, but it is non clear to me if a better tuning can improve the motors' performances or if the performances are affected only by the battery pack capacity.
