motor max rpm and current severely limited?

currently when I attempt a rpm sweep experiment to 15000 the value would max out at 10000 regardless of the changes I've made. Same thing when I give ppm input from my taranis qx7. the motor can also be easily stalled by hand and reaches a max current of only about 20A. here's a screenshot of the experiment plot.

the vesc manufacture recommend to use BLDC mode and set max erpm to 60000, I've configured the rest according to the motor and battery.

any help is appreciated!

I'm using

VESC: Maytech vesc100A v4

motor: Scorpion SII-4035-450KV

battery: 8s 8000mah 150C (2 4s in series)

realize when i lower the battery voltage cutoff to less than the suggested number for 8s (start: 27.2v, end: 24.8v) the erpm was able to reach 20000. I believe the voltage drop is due to acceleration higher rpm that was previously restricted. However, when I let go of throttle the battery rebound to full charge level. Is there a way to set a voltage limit that allows for momentary dips but prevents battery from completely discharging?

Just reduce the current limits to minimize the battery overload or use the battery rated for your desired current output.

Unusual voltage drop simply means you are overloading the battery because it can't output the current you are trying to draw from it.
