Goal - build a bad ass drift trike in a small package, therefore the 100% duty cycle at low speeds/RPM
The controller has to take push 1500-2000W to the motor continuously 24/7, therefor looking for a really robust controller.
I found the VESC 75/300 and a china analogue Maytech 200 controllers, but as they are more designed for high RPM longbard applications, I have no idea how they would work on a e-bike scenario with max high torque requirements at very low speeds. (10-15km/h)
I know of the Sabvoton 72150 style controllers, but they are massive...but maybe they need to be to drive motors at high currents and low RPM'°s?
Controller also has to have BT connectivity, hand throttle options, as well as some sort of regen brake controller externally. (maybe a brake lever with potentiometer in it)
Battery will most probably be this one, or a better a 72v equivalent.

2000w at 52v is around 40A, but as I expect to pull that all the time, I assume a 2x larger current capacity controller must be used...?
Phaserunner V3 might work, but hard to find any info with any of these controllers being used in HARDCORE scenarios extensively.

At 1500-2000w that motor will be slow as a turtle. And that battery at 40A max and 52v is also very much undersized for the motor.
qs205v3 can take 15kw easily. I am currently running it at 10kw peak.
For the controller, you can check out Trampa 100/250. It seems like it might work.

I am running this motor way underpowered because of longevity reasons, as it will be used in a 24/7 use case.
I bought Flipsky 75200 and Spintend 100A 75V *ubox based VESC's.
And I have a weird issue where sometimes the motor spins backwards for a split second before spinning the right direction.
Also super coggy/not smooth at anything under 2000ERPM, which is way too fast to be not-so-smooth.~
I am expecting to be able to have smooth rotation for super low RPM use cases, is this realistic and something is wrong with my motor/setup?
As it only seems to happen at a specific degree of rotation, I suspect bad hall effect sensor, yet VESC isnt complaining?
It sounds like your sensors are not working. The momentary spin back before it spins forward occurs when a motor is running sensorless.
