Probably first dead VESC SIX

Hi, yesterday I performed load tests on grass with me sitting on my mountainboard, and tried aggressively applying full throttle from stand still, and after few meters master VESC went dark, slave seems to be fine. My set up is dual VESC SIX via canbus, two sensored EMAX GT5345 170KV motors, set up in sensored FOC, 12S voltage, ppm input and bluetooth dongle was connected to master. All parameters were set within reasonable range, motor current max 90A, motor current max brake -40A, absolute max current 150A, baterry current max 60A, Battery current max regen-30A.Battery wasn't even full, cells were at 3,8 V. Don't know what went wrong, I opened VESC and nothing looks blown or burned, can't even smell it. Tried to flash bootloader via stlink but it won't connect. When I power on the VESC there is no led blinking, or anything.

Anyone has any ideas what went wrong? Frank? Ben?

Hi Squad, hard to tell from a distance. I will tell Benjamin, in case he hasn't read this already. What bluetooth dongle are you talking about? Could also be this piece of kit, that killed the VESC. Jens (Nowind) killed two VESCs connecting an ADC controller in parallel to two VESCs. Dead STMs.... Frank

If you send me the dead VESC I can have a look at what went wrong, repair it (if possible, probably no problem) and send it back. Send me a pm and I can give you my address. It is good to sort out issues like these during the beta period.

It turned out it was 3.3v regulator that failed, Benjamin replaced it and VESC shoud be on it's way to me soon. I'll say it one more time here, thant You Benjamin!

Hi, I PMd @Benjamin several times to ask if he received my package with both VESCs SIX but didn't get an answer. So I thought I'll try here, there are no updates in tracking since 5th this month and I'm afraid it might got lost, but I will not know for sure until Ben confirms he didn't receive it indeed.

First time Ben repaired the one that failed but when it came back I couldn't estabilish CAN BUS connection between both of VESCs, so he told me to send them both.

O.K. I'll tell him tomorrow. He is not in Sweden and probably not on the forum right now. Frank

Understood, thanks Frank! The lack of any updates from post nord made me nervous, I just want to know what happened to this package. Benjamin wrote me about two weeks ago he was coming back from his holiday and I just though he already has. I just need to know whether I have to start investigation or not (hopefully NOT), if it's at Ben's place then I'm cool, no rush :)

Ok, so I finally got reply from Post Nord, thankfully they didn't lose the package, it's waiting for Benjamin to pick it up when he gets back smiley

I can see that the shipment has arrived the servicepoint Larsson's Live today waiting for the recipient to pick it up.
